This hotel was just off the main strip in Thamel. It is central to everything & It was situated across from the car park that the trekking companies use so was very convenient for trekking. The staff were all very nice and clean rooms and would definitely stay here again if I had another trekking trip planned.

This is a nice hotel on side street with easy access to restaurants and shopping. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The breakfast buffet was small but the rooftop location had good ambiance. The liked our first stay and returned when we came back to Kathmandu.

Everyone from top down are there to help and make sure you are well taken care of. Nice hotel in great location close to everything in the Thamel district ( tourist area ). If you are a trekker you can buy anything you need within minutes from the hotel. Will definitely stay here again

Well, I travel around the world a lot and stayed at a lot of hotels, and about 1 out of 30 really exceed my expectations. This is one of those hotels. Great service and rooms from beginning to end, including the café, the breakfast, the reception, the comfortable quiet room, the location, and the management. I’ve never seen a manager work so hard to please the guest, going out of his way to do anything he can to help them and make their experience better. He even helped me shop for needed things and mail packages back home. It’s worth every dollar or rupee you spend on the hotel.

Very nice rooms, wonderful staff, and excellent breakfasts. The area is pretty noisy, and the walls are fairly thin, but we were jet lagged enough it didn’t bother our sleep. If you put a pillow over your head you can’t hear anything. Bed was quite comfortable, on the firmer end of the range. Only tiny issue we had with the room was a slight smell of mildew from the bathroom due to the shower not being enclosed and water getting everywhere. The manager was very prompt to fix the AC unit when it stopped working. The hotel staff were super helpful and nice, and the manager arranges great excursions outside of Kathmandu for good prices. Hotel is in the middle of Thamel so it’s surrounded by tons of shopping, restaurants, and bars. Easy walk to some major sites, like Durbar Square and the Narayanhiti Palace museum, and you can even walk to Monkey Temple if you fancy a bit of a climb. If you take a taxi the hotel staff will tell you how much you should pay.

After 30 hours of travel, the sight of a driver waiting at the airport with a welcoming smile was a great relief, and this level of service continued throughout our stay. Returning to the hotel from the bustling, dusty streets of Kathmandu, guests are always greeted with a welcoming smile from the young employees. This heartfelt hospitality is a refreshing contrast to the chaotic city outside. The amenities at Thamel Boutique Hotel are simple and straightforward. Very unfortunate. The staff allowed a group to come back to the hotel around 6am and continue their party in the room. Turining on Loud music and shouting at one another. After a half hour I asked the staff to talk to those guests. The staff did but the guest continued on. I couldnt sleep so i went out... when i returned around noon(12pm) i was hoping to finally get a bit if rest but the staff allowed these crazy people to stay and loudly argue and play loud music until their late checkout around 3 pm. Chaos. Never again. I cant believe the staff allowed this behavior so early in the morning but then also allowed a very late checkout time from tjis crazy group. *Also when i asked for advice on where to get a Sim Card for my phone or to buy Cashmere pashmina they directed me to the shops across the street. Most expensive. Sim card +triple price of the phone store and 10,000NPR Pashminas also some of the most expensive in town. Sim card a deliberate scam and the pashminas well, that is a personal question of quality.
