โSpacious room with very comfy bed and excellent home cooked breakfast! Staff were amazing even little things like showing us to our room rather than just giving instructions! We will be staying again ๐โ
โWhat a tasteful yet homely pub stay!
There was poor comunication between expedia and kings Head regards the number of people in our party for the room!
But staff did all in their power to compensate and make us comfortable!!
Will certainly go back and will give an excellent score.
Loved the food and everything about it!!
Only downside is - food stops at 8pm.
But they do ptovide a cold platter after this time that's delicious!

โThis was an amazing place to stay, very authentic and beautiful. Our room had an updated bathroom, but even though the floor was slanted it was beautiful and comfortable. Craig is not only polite and courteous, but is an excellent cook. Peter played Piano through dinner after taking our dinner order. They both were accommodating worked to make our stay comfortableโ
โI had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. โ
โSuperb for an overnight stay on our way from Scotland to the south coast. Liked the large and recently refurbished room. The public areas were spacious and decorated well also. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. โ
โExcellent budget stay. I was the only person in an 8-bed dorm, and was one of only two people using the communal facilities on the night of my visit. Excellent hostel facilities and good systems in place.โ
โGreat stay for two night break on the coast to Coast trail. Staff was friendly and helpful. Friday nights are very loud with karaoke so be prepared! Food was good, but basic pub food. Breakfast had several choices and the avocado and poached egg was especially good. There's an awesome Indian restaurant called the mango tree just a few buildings down. Laundromat behind the Black Bull hotel which was very convenient. About 6 pounds to run the washer and one or two for the dryer. There's a tourist...
โWe loved the pub and Alina really went out of her way to ensure we had a good stay/enjoyed our breakfast. We hope that they are able to get their plumber to fix their shower properly, as it fluctuated dangerously between scalding hot and cold.โ
