Checked in and went to the room. Did the usual settling in and prepared to adjust the heat for the room. Realized the control was on the wall, adjusted it to 70, no results. in a bit adjusted it to 71, same result. Then went to 73 and finally got some heat results an hour after entering the room. Meanwhile trying to find a channel on tv that we wanted to watch. Came up with a popup on right of screen with numbers like 40-1, 40-2, etc. Finally after much gnashing of teeth, a blue channel guide came on, woopee! Decided on something and looked where the channel numbers were listed. Two digit number with a dash and another number. Pressed that and got something entirely different than we wanted to watch. Went back to the Guide (?) page, noticed there was a 2 digit number in white. Punched that in and got no action at all. Never did discover what those numbers were for.
Took the dog out for a walk and was going to ask the desk about a tv directory/how to operate with this ridiculous number system. Usually in hotels one has a button that says "Guide". Press and one gets a guide to channels, a number for the channel and corresponding programs. What world in LaQuinta in? Bytheway, there was no one at the desk, only a sign saying if you want help, call this number. Oh, HELP, the place is on fire. Oh, please call this number. Thank You.
