Kesswil, Canton of Thurgau hotel rooms at the Independent

"Room was a good size but rather hot. Apparently, a/c system was in winter mode. Opening windows was rather noisy from street/people activity. Excellent breakfast. Even though coffee machine in room did not always work properly, a staff member came to look at it immediately. Very nice staff. No restaurant, other than for breakfast. There was a bar, but it was not open on Sunday. Very good location for visiting St Gallen by foot and very close to station."

"A/C was not working. Informed staff 50 minutes after check in. Was advised that they will investigate. Could not open windows either as bugs were sitting outside. Nothing was resolved while I stayed there. Mattress was uncomfortable, I could feel the springs. All in all the stay was uncomfortable."

"The staff were friendly and helpful and free breakfast a bonus. We also got free public transport in the Konstanz area. Room was a little small, but t least it had a fridge"

"The room had a great view over the river. The room was very clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, however there was a pay as you go dispenser, serving cold drinks in the corridor. The bar area is "

"Great that they have self check in as we arrived at 1am. Building is undergoing some work at the moment but wasnt disruptive. Great location. Good size room, clean, quiet, beds were comfy but need better pillows. "
