"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

She did a great job fixing it up! The breakfast is delicious and very generous! The only minor thing was there wasn’t any WiFi. It is a somewhat remote location so that’s understandable. Overall a great stay and if you’re looking for an authentic Greek experience this is it! "
