“Our stay at Shibu Hotel was a memorable highlight of our trip. The staff were extremely helpful and provided us with boots and umbrellas after we told them we wanted to venture out into the rain to view the monkey park. Our dining experiences were equally as pleasant with the staff greeting us and explaining the menus to us in detail. The area around the hotel was quiet and peaceful as well. On top of that all, the private bath offered was the last relaxing piece of the puzzle we needed....

“전통료칸 경험하기에 저렴한 가격으로 아주 적합 했고 노천탕이 있어서 좋았어요. 하루만 숙박을 해서 좀 아쉬웠어요. 아침 식사도 옵션으로 참 좋았어요. 근데 실내 개인용 (private) 온천탕에 이물질이 많더라고요. 이숙소만이 아니라 시부에 있는 공용온천 9 욕탕에도 이물질이 아주 많았어요. 저희 방이 3층이었는데, 여행가방 들고 올라갔다 내려갔다 하기가 좀 어려웠어요. 주인 아저씨가 친절하게 도와주셨고 전통료칸이라 이해 합니다만 여행용가방 전용 엘리베이터를 설치하면 어떨지 제안해 봅니다.”

“テラスのある露天風呂付きのお部屋に泊まりました。露天風呂の横にシャワールームの個室にあってヒーターが完備されていたので寒さを感じることはありませんでした。アメニティもイタリア製の化粧品やネスカフェのコーヒーマシン、オーガニックの紅茶などクオリティが置かれていました。1点気になったのはトイレの手洗いが掃除ができていないのか汚くて使えませんでした。 食事は2食とも個室でいただきました。夕食は客前寿司、朝食はだし巻き卵を目の前で調理して提供して下ったり、食材も自家製の味噌や県内産の米や野菜が使われていて見た目も美しい料理を楽しむことができました。 女将さんをはじめ、若いスタッフの方々のおもてなしも行き届いていてお勧めのお宿であることは間違いありません。”
