“I had an okay stay. The location of the apartment back behind the main building was unexpected. Not bad. But walking outside to get to the bar or back around the bar to get to my car was something I would have preferred being more aware of ahead of time. The TV didn’t work properly (sound but no picture) and the WiFi didn’t reach the room, so I had to walk down the dark alleyway to the bar to use the WiFi - it was to late in the day during a one night stay to try contact anyone to fix these...

“The hotel is a true old world charm property set in a very peaceful and serene environment. The property is well maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. The bed especially is very comfortable. The food and service is also excellent even though it is very full at weekends as it is a popular wedding and event property. There is a true commitment to quality and sincere warmth in both staff and housekeeping.”

“Wonderful stay at Silken Thomas. Highly recommend. Fabulous rooms only bettered by the wonderful staff. Food great in restaurant also and close to shopping village.”

“Everything very nice, lovely ambiance”

“We had a lovely stay at Firecastle. Kildare is a magical area with lots to do and see in walking distance. The room we stayed in was beautiful and well appointed, breakfast was delicious and the staff were all really nice. I highly recommend Firecastle.”

“We lived the quietness and the fireplace for reading.”

“Clean, warm and the made to order breakfast was great.”

“Kilkea Castle was a wonderful stay. Last minute we booked a room in the Lodges; unfortunately, the actual Castle was all booked up. This didn’t lessen the experience though. The lodge room was clean, comfortable, well-appointed and had a fairway view. We were also able to use the facilities in the castle itself. We weren’t there to golf and that was just as well as the course was closed for maintenance. As a golfer the course did look like a premium course, and I’d love to go back for...

“Excellent stay”

“Stayed for 7 days and have taken a good rest. Finished my business trip well.”

“It was a classic Irish hotel with wonderful restaurant and bar food and service. And very close and convenient to get back to fly home from Dublin.”

“This is a great place to get away. The hosts are amazing! Great shops within 20min and a beautiful property. If going far, take a taxi to the train station, taxis are very expensive.”

“Great stay. Second visit. Just as good the second time. The staff are magnificent and make the whole trip worthwhile. Once you are on the estate you don't have to drive. The internal buggy/ cars are great.”
