“Major staffing issue in kitchen and hospitality - we waited 40 mins for a sharer and starter on Saturday night, then it all came together. Another table of 6 waited 1 hr 40 mins for one salad to arrive! Salmon dish was tiny and overcooked. Sent it back. The waiter Omar was brilliant at service recovery and very apologetic - hats off to him. Breakfast was pretty poor too - only one coffee machine for hundreds of guests, food took ages to be replenished and tables not cleared. Staff on reception...

“Breakfast was extortionate and dire. Not worth the money. It is outsourced and nothing to do with the hotel. The rooms are not cleaned everyday nor are the towels changed. Nobody comes to check for housekeeping. The room was like a sauna. Extremely hot rooms, creaky floors, dirty carpet and windows. Windows don't open. Bathroom water pressure is just awful. “An excellent hotel and very reasonably priced. We ate on the terrace in fantastic weather. Also at breakfast in the beautiful dining room. Our cosy courtyard room was modern and well kept and the cold fan certainly helped. The building, grounds and staff are really great. We will stay again.”

“Great hotel, easy to park and room was really nice. No air con but there was a fan provided. Unfortunately tv did not work or the telephone. Receptionist said they were unaware and it couldn’t be fixed but offered access to the spa and drinks. However I already had access & had bought drinks in the spa. Spa would be very busy with day guests in the day. Breakfast was great and great choice available. ”
