Marshall Point Lighthouse is located near the fishing village of Port Clyde, Maine. The Lighthouse property includes the wonderful light, connected via the long wooden runway to the property, a lovingly-restored Keeper’s House, as well as welcoming grounds and complimenting gardens. In The Keeper’s House, there is an extensive museum housing exhibits centered on the lighthouse as well as a historic look into the industries and life on our peninsula. As an interesting detail, in the movie “Forest Gump” Tom Hanks concluded his long run on the lighthouse runway. There is “limited” but adequate parking available with easy access to the grounds and Museum. #lighthouse #maine

Chartered a private wooden sailboat for 3 hrs. Best part of our trip up and down the Maine Coast. Camden is a nice protected harbor to sail out of but unlike the SW Coast of Lake Michigan, there are quite a few submerged and visible rocks to watch out for! It was a bit chili as you can see my wife all bundled up. I of course had a sweatshirt on with shorts and my sandals 😎
