I was disappointed by my stay. I did visit during the off-season (June), so maybe the property is better maintained during peak season. However, the furniture in my room was in poor condition, there were always ants in my room, the bed was uncomfortable, and there wasnโt any hot water. It definitely doesnโt feel like a โresortโ at all โ more like a motel. Whoever photographed Paradise Resort should get a raise, however, because the photos look far, far better than reality โ I even walked right by when I was first arriving because it looked so different from the photos and there was no signage. The โspaโ is a collection of day beds with thin curtains and is not luxurious at all. In general, Iโd advise against staying at any Long Beach hotel during the off-season โ there isnโt anything to do and itโs inconvenient to get to the main area of Phi Phi. If the weather is bad, sometimes the boats arenโt even running, and the 45-minute โwalkโ to the main area is really more of a hike and is confusing and strenuous, especially with luggage. I was very close to changing hotels, even without a refund, because Iโd really wanted a โresortโ experience. Iโd stay elsewhere!
