Ich war 3 Wochen im Grand Manita ,mit ner kleinen Unterbrechung . Es war sehr gemütlich ,ein kleines Resort mit einem wundervollen Garten ,der täglich gepflegt wurde .Direkt am Strand ,ein kleiner Pool ,aber sehr schön .Es herrschte ein privates Flair ,fussläufig konnte man gut nach Lamai . Sehr freundliches Personal ,auf Anfrage gab es auch Früstück ,täglich frische Handtücher und Wasser in Flaschen .Ich würde es sofort wieder buchen .

A very quiet secluded resort, right on the beach. Rooms are clean and nicely furnished, no TV, just kick back and relax. Pool situated over looking the beach. The beach is shallow, at low tide you'll see it's not great for swimming, but the pool is spot on. No reception at the moment, assuming due to the quiet season, but staff were ready enough to get a hold of when required. Mattresses are normal for the region. Quite firm. I enjoyed my stay, the staff were great, local dining very nice, massage at Lilly's towards Silver beash worth a visit. Shade Coffee is great, Renu and Tips Tacos are great too, Kawins Kitchen too.

Hübsches Hotel in guter Lage
Zweites mal Koh Samui - diesmal im Grand Manita. Sehr schönes Hotel - gutes Frühstück - Lage zwischen Chaweng und Lamai ist super. Empfehlung: roller ausleihen. einziges Manko: der Strand ist an der Stelle sehr flach und steinig - Badeschuhe werden empfohlen und dann muss man weit reinlaufen dass man Schwimmen kann. Schönes großes Zimmer - nette kleine Anlage - guter Zimmerservice und gutes Frühstück Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Qualità prezzo... Bocciati! Beach is not equipped
This is at first look at not bad resort even if the pictures make their job. Poor of services and full of mosquitos, any time I went out of the room I have been hit. They comes from various small pool of standing water, everything is surrounded by a lot of plants and room was so dark. It wasn't comfortable stay on the balcony and the room had little lighting, tv with a very poor connection. Shower has a poor flow. I have booked this resort because in the description they tell to have sun beds and beach umbrellas, but the beach was empty. I have been many times in Samui that was the worst place I have been. I do not recommend this place also for what you get the price is too high.

From the moment I made the booking, Wen was in touch and confirmed airport pick up and transfer. Very smooth and executed well: the taxi was at the airport with a printed out name sheet (ie not hand written!). The accommodation itself is ideal: the room is large with lots of space to manoevre. Aircon unit and fridge a god-send. Electric shower with hot water - you might not always want hot water at 30 degrees but it's good to have for early in the morning when cold water isn't that welcome. Two bottles of still water in the room every day is a bonus. The pool and beach front are extremely pleasan and very quiet: an ideal way to spend a relaxing chill out holiday. Deng who manages the massage concession by the pool is brilliant. A very good massage therapist who understands manipulation well, unlike some places where I've had massage and the therapist goes through set moves like an automaton without taking any cognissace of the person they are manipulating! Not Deng, she was extremely sensitive to areas of concern and worked away at them diligently and gently. I've been to Samui a lot over the last 20 years and I'm only kicking myself that I didn't find Grand Manita sooner. It is now my number one destination when in Samui. I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Thank you all for making my visit so trouble-free.

ที่ตั้งโรงแรมถือว่าโอเค ไม่ไกลจากตลาดมากนัก มีสระว่ายน้ำขนาดไม่ใหญ่ แต่ติดกับชายหาด ไฟทางเดิน-บริเวณสระน้ำค่อนข้างมืด ไม่เหมาะสำหรับเล่นน้ำตอนค่ำ ห้องพักเก่ากว่าที่ควรจะเป็น ห้องน้ำเก่ามาก ระบบปรับอากาศถือว่าโอเค อาหารเช้าที่ให้มาเป็นแบบอาหารจานเดียว มีจำนวนน้อย ทานไม่อิ่ม

Wouldn’t go back - seems abandonned and worn out
Not really anything good to say about this hotel, felt abandonned and worn out. Hardly any personnel, nobody there at checkout which cause a great deal of confusion. First room was dirty, tv didn’t work, but did however get an upgrade. The new room was a bit better, but still not clean. Loads of bugs coming in from the open roof in the bathroom. No restaurant. No minibar. No bar as advised in promotion. There is a small 7/11 close by, but still no service at hotel. Dirty pool, dirty small beach. Waking distance to Silver beach which was good despite being a bit small. If you want to go to the town or Chaweng beach which has a bit more going on, reckon on spending an additional 400 baht each way on taxis as it’s not in walking distance (unless ur the active type of person or unless you rent a scooter). Hotel is located beside the main road which is pretty polluted, noisy and also highly traficated. In general it felt abandonned. Wouldn’t recommend. There are better alternatives!

Comfortable, quiet, well staffed.
Overall I was very pleased with the Grand Manita. It is located directly on the beach and is a 20 minute walk along the shore to all of the tourist activities. The walk is easier at low tide, at high tide you have to wade a bit. Also, the sand is softer at this end of the beach. The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. The only drawback was the restaurant. Two times I ordered two different traditional Thai dishes, and recieved the same generic noodle dish. It was quite yummy but not what I had pointed at on the menu! The room was excellent value given the price. A/C worked well, linens were clean and nice, lovely sitting area on the balcony. It was a wonderful stay.

Min vistelse på Manita var bra. Det enda jag har att klaga på var att det fanns ingen restaurang eller bar öppen som utlovat via hemsidan. Det var stängt och under några dagar verkade jag vara den enda på hela hotellet. Dessutom städades den döda kackerlackan inte bort från badrummet försen 5 dagar efter min incheckning och den fanns där redan när jag checkade in. Jag skulle iväg på resande fot några dagar tidigare än planerat och personalen var mycket behjälpliga med att underlätta det hela för mig så mycket som möjligt. Detta uppskattades stort.

Right on the beach, lovely service
A few of us friends stayed at the Grand Manita because friends of ours were getting married right next door, at a place way over our budget. I stayed in one of the small rooms (as opposed to a whole bungalow) but it was by no means small. Bed might be hard for some. The TV was a trendy CRT, but hey you're at the beach... nonetheless it does have all the cable channels incl.BBC, bloomberg etc. The breakfast might look simple (not buffet), but it's tasty and the coffee was surprisingly decent. It was walking distance to food and massage, and we also rented scooters from the hotel so easily went everywhere on those. The airport car service was good too, definitely recommend it for the sake of convenience. Staff were lovely and made us feel at home. The pool is nice, though it's hard to decide whether to swim in the sea or there. Beach sand is not exactly fine, but we weren't going for that kind of luxury holiday so it worked perfectly for us. My one complaint is that there is no mosquito prevention in the rooms, so I was going to bed knowing I was about to become victim to the (at least) three mozzies I failed to catch. I did speak to the front desk lady about it, who said they'll look into it. Bed net is needed, and preferably also screen doors, hopefully they will sort it out soon.

Relaxed and beautiful gardens and pool
Great relaxed atmosphere, stayed 18 days and hired a motorbike from Manita Enjoyed the pool, gardens, ocean views. Tasty a la carte breakfast, but lacks Asian option. Please note that resort has no restaurant for meals. Nice helpful staff.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff.
Nice small hotel in bungalow style directly at the beach. There was no possibility to eat there so you always have to go out for diner. You needed transport to go to the nearest villages but hotel is on a buissy road so taxi and songhtow always in the neighborhood.

Bon rapport qualité-prix mais un peu isolé.
Nous avons aimé : l'accueil, le dynamisme de la réception, la qualité du service et sa réactivité, la qualité des chambres, la vue de la mer depuis la piscine, le petit déjeuner copieux, le calme dans l'hotel de construction récente et bien conçu. Nous avons moins aimé, la fermeture de la réception à 21h, les moustiques, l'impossibilité de se baigner en mer car le fond est rocailleux et peu de profondeur, marcher sur la plage la nuit nous a été déconseillé, le manque d'animation à proximité.

Quaint resort, bed and bug spraying an issue
Overall, we would consider our stay here a great find for the money. The resort is small and right on the beach. The pool and beach area are tidy and relaxing. We were able to eat and by the seaside at the resort for a very reasonable price. Our room was tasteful, with a spacious balcony, and ok bathroom. We found the bed to be very uncomfortable and difficult to enjoy a quality sleep in. The most disappointing part of our stay was that the property was heavily sprayed (with a smoke based insecticide) without any forewarning to its guests while we were there! Thankfully neither of us suffer from respiratory issues or were expecting but it was a troubling experience nonetheless. Not sure that we would recommend this resort due to how that situation was handled.

Tolles kleines Resort
Im Manita kann man sich wunderbar erholen. Das Resort liegt am Ende vom Lamai Beach. Mit dem Roller, den man sich auch im Manita mieten kann, ist man schnell im Geschehen. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt, ebenfalls die Zimmer und der Pool. Am Pool kann man eine wunderbare Massage genießen mit Blick aufs Meer. Daeng versteht ihr Handwerk. Alle sind sehr nett man fühlt sich willkommen und gut aufgehoben.Wir hatten einen Bungalow zur Low Seasons. Danke für die schöne Zeit. Kleiner Tipp: es wäre eine tolle Geste, wenn ein Wasserkocher und etwas Tee oder Kaffee im Zimmer wäre. Und das WLAN ist sehr langsam. Aber alles natürlich nicht unbedingt notwendig.

Mooi hotel aan het strand, vriendelijk personeel
Het hotel is goed en ligt direct aan het strand. Fijne strandstoelen kunnen in zon en schaduw gebruikt worden. Het hotel ligt naar het einde van Lamai beach. Hierdoor ben je snel bij eetgelegenheden en winkels, maar zit je niet zo in de herrie van sommige hotels/barren aan het strand van Lamai centrum. Het zwembad had een erg groene kleur toen wij er waren, maar op de dag van vertrek zag het er al beter uit. Wij zaten in een vrijstaand huisje vlakbij het strand en het zwembad. Leuk huisje met airco en veel ruimte en een fijne douche. Enige minpuntje was dat de badkamer een dak had van plastic platen zonder raam. Het werd er daardoor erg warm en er waren gaten naar buiten waar insecten door naar binnen kwamen. Het ontbijt was goed, met verse koffie, muesli, fruit, sap, toast en eieren en bacon naar wens. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam bij vragen en boeken van excursies / vervoer.

Gerade noch o.k.
Preiswert aber nicht mehr. Frühstück spartanisch und übersichtlich. Kaum Auswahl. Die Rezeption wird zum Frühstückstaum umgebaut, direkt an der lauten Ringstraße. Warum nicht an dem Strandrestaurant? Sind die Wege von der Küche zu weit? Zimmer geht so, Möbel leicht ramponiert, Beleuchtung: funzelig, zwei Birnen defekt. Bad unter aller Kanone, Dusche falsch montiert, Zementboden und Wand, verwittert - kein Designdetail! Kaum Licht im Bad, Rasieren fast nicht möglich. Balkon schön groß, Blick in den Garten. Der Garten ist nett, aber nicht mehr. Strand kurz aber ausreichend. Liegen gerade ausreichend, leider auch hier die lästigen Reservierungen mit Handtüchern. Massagen preislich und qualitativ gut. Essen im Restaurant teuer, hat mir nicht so gut geschmeckt. Das Personal ist bis auf eine Ausnahme etwas gelangweilt und wenig motiviert. Gut zu Fuß erreichbar sind Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Im Hotel habe ich lieber ein Moped für 4 € am Tag gemietet. Preiswert essen kann man in den Food courts in Lamai oder Chaweng. In den Strandrestaurants ist es natürlich teurer, aber dafür sitzt man direkt am Meer. Für das nächste Mal würde ich lieber das Hotel "Peoples Republic" wählen, ist nur ein Haus weiter. Teurer, bietet aber alles für einen Traumurlaub: luxuriöse Zimmer, Lounge Atmosphäre, super freundliches und aufmerksames Personal und einen wunderschönen Strand.

Overpriced hotel
Very overpriced hotel. We were not satisfied at all when we arrived to the hotel. We paid USD 60 per night and it was completely too much! The hotel is very peaceful though which is nice if you are looking for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was decent.

A little pricey for what you get
WIFI doesn't work so well in your room- we had to go onto the deck or down by the pool to use it (we were in a regular room near the lobby- not sure how the bungalows are!). Good location on Lamai beach but it's a bit of a walk to get to the busier parts or near the night market off the beach. The restaurant/bar is very expensive, so we never ate there other than breakfast which we had included (and was quite good). Overall we were expecting more for the price that we paid (but that might just be Koh Samui for you!).

A quiet and relaxing beach front resort. The villas are lovely. It is still close enough to the centre of II Lamai.

Tolles Hotel in guter lage
Wir haben 4 Nächte im Hotel verbracht und waren rundum zufrieden. Toller Service,nettes Personal, lecker Frühstück. Im Hotel konnten wir uns günstig Roller Mieten und waren so schnell am Lamai Beach und Silver Beach.

Disappointing
Arrived in the evening and there was nothing open - no life, no bar, no one around. The rooms had obviously been shut up as they were musty and damp. One of the air con units made a terrible noise too. Nice pool next to the beach, but bungalows back to the road and at last 25 minutes from centre Lamai.

mooi zeer rustig gelegen hotel waar je slaapt als een baby, zalig zwembad aan het strand, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, laatste dag gratis gebruik kunnen maken van onze kamer tot 16u, 8 dagen verbleven, veel gezien! je hebt wel een brommer nodig om een beetje rond het eiland te geraken, maar dat zal op elke locatie op Koh Samui niet anders zijn, restaurants in de buurt zijn ok! ook buurtwinkel op loopafstand

Etwas abseits - gut für "Ruhesuchende"
Zimmer/Bungalow: Hell und angenehm groß, das Bad entspricht typischen 3*** Thai Standard. Klimaanlage braucht etwas länger um den relativ großen Raum zu kühlen, funktioniert aber einwandfrei. Sauberkeit war OK und es hat immer sehr angenehm gerochen. Kühlschrank und kleiner Zimmersave sind vorhanden. Sehr weitläufiges Areal, viel Wiese und Palmen. Liegt direkt am Meer aber kein Badestrand. Manchmal hat es in "Strandnähe" etwas unangenehm gerochen. Konnte nicht feststellen woher das kam. Relativ wenig Liegen verfügbar. Der Pool ist nicht der größte, war jedoch immer sauber. Die nächsten Restaurants und Geschäften sind etwa 10 Fahrminuten entfernt. Unmittelbar in Hotelnähe gibt es nur kleine Geschäfte wo man Kleinigkeiten zum Essen und Trinken kaufen konnte. Frühstück ist nichts Besonderes aber OK. Ist eine Mischung aus thailändischem und westlichem Essen. Der nächste schöne Sandstrand ist in 5 Gehminuten Richtung Süden erreichbar. Personal an der Rezeption spricht gut Englisch, das Reinigungspersonal eher weniger. Bei Problemen wurde schnellstmöglich eine Lösung gesucht. Hat mir sehr gut gefallen! Tipp: Am Abend die Türe immer geschlossen halten, sonst hat man Moskitos im Bungalow. Hält man sich auf der Terrasse auf, Insektenschutzspray nicht vergessen. Man muss bedenken, dass man in einem tropischen Land ist und hier vermehrt lästige Insekten unterwegs sind. :-) Abgesehen von der Lage, hatte ich einen angenehmen und erholsamen Aufenthalt.
