Amazing stay

My husband and I spent 4 amazing days in Koh Tao at the place, it was just the most amazing place, the team could not do enough for us, the villas are stunning with the most amazing views, a quiet and stunning place to stay. Would recommend !

A Koh Tao haven

This is our second time at The Place and it’s just as amazing as we remember. The view out to the coast is spectacular and they’ve thought of everything, lots of space, comfortable beds, well stocked fridge.

Lovely Hotel

Had a great few day stay at The Place Luxury Boutique Villas. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Guy and his wife are very informative with things to do. It is very quiet where the villas are located and to walk into 'town' is about a 10-15 min walk. The walk back is a bit more difficult as the villas are up on the hill but there are cabs which will always pick you up or take you back to the hotel. All in all a very nice stay.

This stay was a dream. All the villas have private pools and kitchens. The bed was superb and the villa fantastic. You have a great degree of privacy and cannot see into the other villas. The owner Guy was very nice, great communication and arranged ferry tickets, snorkeling tour, and motor scooter all payable at the end of the stay. Highly recommend this place!

We LOVED staying here at The Place. It was so nice and relaxing that it was difficult to leave the villa to explore Koh Tao. So many great options to order in from local restaurants and also had walkability to beach and local shops. This place is perfect for a couple wanting to relax and retreat but also want to explore the beautiful island of Koh Tao. The pool view was magical. They gave us such great restaurant recommendations and made us feel so comfortable to reach out with any questions. The only thing to note is that it does has several steep steps to access the villas. 10/10 and will likely stay here again when we visit next time! Thank you guys!

Great stay and privacy

The villa and it's privacy was very nice. The own pool was great and views from the terrace to the sea and the mountains were fabulous. The owner, Guy, was very helpfull. You can drink filtered water from the separate tap, which is a good idea for nature, but might not be possible if you have a sensitive stomach. Food deliveries from the chosen restaurants worked well. Special thanks to the Mr. Bear Taxi service which worked extremely well any time (including New Years Eve)! Home from home

We had an amazing stay at The Place. It was truly home from home. We were picked up at the ferry terminal and when we left dropped off, we were really well looked after. The villa was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a really informative induction to the facility. The views are stunning, the best sunsets. The pool was clean, we often didn’t leave the site, we were there for 11 days and I could’ve stayed much longer. Trips were organised for us. The walk into town was about 10 minutes, and you are out of the noise but still within walking distance. I felt quite emotional leaving it was just wonderful. The bed was so comfortable and the housekeeping exceptional. We had just the right amount of privacy. Keep doing what you do, just perfect.

My wife and I loved this place! Location to town, being able to get up and cook our own breakfast. Order in amazing food from town. Sit in the pool and watch the sunset… We will be back for sure!!

Stunning, peaceful location with incredible views. The host was friendly and helpful—he arranged a great fishing trip with a local and shared his WhatsApp for anything we needed. He also arranged to pick us up from the pier on arrival. One thing we wished we knew prior to booking is to be aware that wildlife is part of the experience. Expect large and small geckos (and droppings), ants, millipedes etc inside the villa. Our only major issue was upon checkout when we had requested the return transfer at 6:15 for our 7am ferry, however the driver didn’t show up and we nearly missed our ferry (host later said the driver was unwell). Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay and we really appreciated the island’s rich wildlife—but given the price, we had expected a bit less of it inside the villa and not as outdated.

Not for anyone with any difficulty climbing.

This property is amazing, and they have thought of almost everything. I wish in the pictures or description they had included how steep and inaccessible the rooms were if you have any issues climbing. The stairs are very tall and steep and mostly no railings. I had to leave after the first day because I could not get in and out of my room. Please be aware this is only for very fit people. I would never have booked this had I any idea. I paid for four nights and could only stay one, it was beyond disappointing. I am an experienced traveler and watch carefully for these issues and there was no photos or warning about this site.

Si vous souhaitez vous mettre à l écart de la tumultueuse koh tao, Mais à 2 mm en scout,(obligatoire) Vous êtes au bon endroit. Très bien aménagé,vue sur mer dans la piscine top, Et un service conciergerie efficace. Rapport qualité prix très bon.

We were welcomed at the ferry pier and taken to the hotel and quickly shown to our room. We had a very detailed tour and guidance of where to find things on the island. The hotel looks far from the beach on the map but its less than 1km and was nice and quiet to stay. Recommend 100%

The view is superb. The privacy is excellent. Gift basket on arrival was a nice touch and bikes, beach towels and snorkelling equipment readily available. It’s a unique place.

So private, beautiful villa. Good location! Only 15 min walk into town or couple of mins on a moped. Staff are all amazing and so thoughtful. Didn’t want to leave.
