Nice room, very good bathroom supplies, the usual very helpful staff. Bed was comfortable, altho I would have preferred a firmer pillow. Otherwise, an excellent stay.

Cross Hotel Kyoto
The staff was friendly and check-in was easy and efficient. We unexpectedly arrived early than expected but the staff was able to get us a room. Breakfast was excellent.

Yamashina Ward
Appreciated for its restaurants and shopping, you might consider exploring Yamashina Ward. Check out the variety of things to see and do like Biwako Quasi-National Park, and jump on the metro at Higashino Station or Keihan Yamashina to get around the city.
Okazaki
