To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at Riu Palace Macao in Punta Cana. I booked an Ocean View Junior Suite with Elite Service because I expected a premium vacation experience. Unfortunately, the accommodations and service did not match what was advertised or what I paid for. Upon arrival, I was assigned a Junior Suite with two twin beds instead of the room I reserved. The room also did not provide the clear ocean view that was promised. I paid extra for these upgrades and feel that I did not receive the accommodations I purchased. The television in my room did not work, and I had to contact the front desk twice before someone finally fixed it. Throughout my stay, I found many staff members to be unhelpful and unwilling to resolve concerns promptly. The Elite Service package was especially disappointing and offered little value for the additional cost. My biggest frustration involved the parasailing excursion sold on the resort's beach. We were told photos would cost $60, paid for them, and never received them. When I reported the issue, I was told the hotel was not responsible for vendors operating on its property. That response was unacceptable and left me feeling that guests are not adequately protected. I do appreciate that the resort handled occasional power outages quickly. I also enjoyed the food, nightly entertainment, Wellness Spa, and the Club, which were excellent.

Is a perfect place for families. There are activities for all ages. For me is without debt the best Caribbean destination.
