Great Stay at Villa de Brome

Great stay in the 3 bedroom apartment at Villa de Brome. Krystel was an amazing host, very responsive, gave suggestions and brought items that we needed with no hesitation. The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable, and the kitchen, well equipped including dishwasher, also a washer and dryer! The Villa is well situated in wine country, a quick 12 min drive to the nearest winery! Beautiful part of the Eastern Townships!

Gravel bikers paradise!

This is a fantastic hostel for budget travelers and vacationers. I stayed in a single room. The bed was comfortable and bedding was exquisite. The building is old but very well kept. The setting is spectacular especially if you are into gravel biking (!) as it is setting a gravel road that is part of a larger network of gravel roads that stretch across the plains in through hills toward Bromont.

Please be aware that this hotel is more like a hostel with no permanent staff anywhere at all. And please note that the nearest towns/villages are about a 15-minute drive away. So do remember to buy edibles and drinkables to tide you over.

We used Villa de Brome as a staging area for skiing at nearby Bromont. The price was spectacular; going early in the week assured us a quiet space with only one or two other guests (we were advised weekends can get busier). The room exactly as advertised; the beds comfy and the space was clean. The shower / toilet in the middle of the room (don't worry - its enclosed with a door) is a bit quirky, but doesn't throw you off. The room is not setup for lounging but the rest of the villa more than satisfies on that dimension. The basement has a lovely fireplace, the couches are very comfortable. Our hosts (Krystel and Richard) were more than hospitable; setting up a fire for us on two of the three nights we stayed. Their kindness was on display when we tried to setup a fire of our own (don't do that!!) ; and we smoked out the basement - they were kind, friendly and gracious - and fixed our mistake. They were kind enough to afford us an extended checkout when our flight was cancelled and we could use the extra sleep. There are ample spaces to relax, the kitchen is all you could ask for, and the rural setting is perfect for calm. We were able to go for an evening run from the Villa; no cars in the area, the Lake is lovely (even if frozen). a 10-15 min drive from Bromont (if you're skiing); and a 10 min drive from an excellent Brewery (Knowlton). A great spot; would be very happy to return. Couldn't be happier with the hosts.

The room was ok,the only problem is that the bed sheets didn't seem to be clean as there where hair all over it,i even made a video and also the sync is not in the bathroom but in the middle of the room.

Clean as a whistle and friendly staff. We sat in the common kitchen, cooked our meal and talked to staff about local sights and places to visit. Wonderful experience. Not fancy, laid back just the way I like it. BTW, I don't speak french and the staff made every effort to accomodate my lack of communication.

Floor in room not so clean. Bed sheet not clean. And there are bugs in the room. However, it is affordable for families.
