Nice and comfortable

Beds were comfortable and a nice place to stay. Rosie (front desk clerk) was very welcoming. She was able to extend our stay for one more night, which we did not plan. All was nice, just would like to see a little more effort put into the complimentary breakfast. Also, hotel was not far from the Golden Nugget casino. Other than that, I would stay at this place again!

The rooms actually surprised me and my husband. We thiuggt it would be like a hotel deserving a score of 3.7 but much to our surptiy was VERY clean, super up to date, nice and cozy, COLD AC, and the staff was PHENOMENAL!!!! DEFINITELY WILL BE GOING BACK! GREAT BREAKFAST... andddd a big nice and CLEAN POOL!

Friendly staff and clean hotel

Check-in staff were very friendly. We especially enjoyed breakfast. The food was good, and Deborah, the hostess, was incredibly friendly with a beautiful smile! Housekeeping staff were also friendly and polite when we met them in the hallway.

Checking was good. We arrived a few minutes early and was able to get in our room. The commode handle was broken. Our door did not lock from the inside. The bab was pretty comfortable and everything was pretty clean. It was a musky smell. I guess it was due to the old carpet. Overall, it was okay, we just went there to sleep.

I felt that this location was upholding the traditional excellence of Best Western properties. IF I were to travel through Lake Charles again I'd put this motel as a "first choice" of places to book. The ONLY down-side (for me) was the breakfast choices. The breakfast was well prepared but just had limited choices. EVERY staff member we encountered was friendly and courteous.

I had to get my room changed because I told front desk the air didn’t work . I booked a room with a microwave and didn’t get it til 3 days later . I stayed for a week and would never stay again. The bed isn’t even comfortable. Housekeeping was great when it came to cleaning our room !

Bed was comfortable. Area and hotel were quiet. shower leaks all over bathroom floor. Only 1 tv by bed, none in sitting area. Lamps are rusted. No smart tv so no streaming services.

Getaway

The hotel was close to the things we wanted to do. The beach was 6 minutes away, the casino was 13 minutes away not to far from the hotel. The hotel air was on you felt the cold air but it wasnt projecting around the room. The bathroom door wouldn't lock, the clock was making noise i had to unplug it. The key cards kept deactivating, breakfast time can be a lil longer it ends at 9 most hotels end at 10. You can not take a plate back to the room they charge $10.00 so everyone must go to breakfast if you dont want to be charged. The outside grass wasnt manicured. The house keepers was nice and friendly they did refreshed our towels. In the bathroom the stopper was on the side of the tub and the shower head was loose. We saw one water bug while in the room. The breakfast was okay but i didnt go back to breakfast the next day. The price of the room wasnt bad i guess the old saying u get what u pay for. If im ever in the area i would try another hotel. The bed was big n comfy the covers was light but do to the air wasnt projecting much the light covers worked out.

Staff and check in were easy. Unfortunately the sheets were bad, rough feeling. Also, the bathtub handle was broken, fell right off ! They need new towels too, we got thin and dingy ones. Do better!!

The room was nice, roomy, comfortable and clean. The front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 nights. The first breakfast - every single item was depleted and the person working there was uninterested in restocking. Same story the next day - no milk, no coffee, no yogurt, etc...disappointed.
