The staff we interacted with were lovely (especially the reception person). A few things would make things easier for first-time guests: 1. Install one more sign on the VERY long driveway to assure drivers they aren’t going astray; 2. Ensure that non-smoking rules are followed; 3. Make sure guests don’t blast music in an otherwise nice natural environment. To reiterate, I think the hosts’ hearts are in the right place -I imagine it’s hard to be on top of everything.

A very nice stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There isn’t any air conditioning but the room was very comfortable and the combination of ceiling fans and open windows works a treat.

A sanctuary tucked into the rainforest. Room had everything for self catering… fridge microwave, cooktop, utensils. Animal viewing a delightful surprise. A nature lovers paradise.

In general I loved the experience, the sights and sounds of the rainforest are amazing. The weather wasn't kind to us and a power cut within an hour of arrival did have us thinking we might not stay but we persevered and we are glad we did. The property is 3 star so don't expect luxuries, go for the experience. Hosts are friendly and the amenities are good. Handy for Platypus hunting at Yungaburra and the Tablelands in general.

Fantastic location. No A/C so would not like to be here in hot spells. Great room with kitchen facilities, very roomy. We were very comfortable. Like deck area. Rough road driveway needs some urgent pothole repairs!!

Chambers is a refuge, you are welcomed and invited to explore the natural environment/surroundings on checking in - it is gentle, inviting, neither understated or overstated. The accommodation has all you need for a self catering stay, comfortable beds, heating/cooling, communal area, plus a pool, deck, bbq & gorgeous walking tracks with abundant wildlife. And not to mention it is as clean as a whistle - the accommodation & the grounds. It really is worth spending time there & using as a base to explore the surrounds, or just be - I wish I had done more of that.

We stayed twice at the property. The first night was fine, so we expected the same for a return night. The staff were pleasant but they didn’t respond to the house phone when it was after hours when we called to report that the room (“lodge”) the second night smelled of cigarette smoke, and was next to a very noisy neighbor. Fortunately a non-staff family member happened to come by and fetched the same lovely reception person. She switched us back to the room we had previously. Although it now smelled of pesticide, that was preferable to the cigarette smell, so we settled for it.

A wonderful experience

A very unique experience staying deep into the rainforest but not far from town. The lodge was comfortable and the bathroom relatively new. The staff were excellent.
