Everything is wonderful about the Lamplight Inn. The rooms, the food, the area, the atmosphere and especially the innkeepers Gene and Linda. The best people you could ever want to meet. We love it at this inn and will continue to go to it each and every year at least twice a year.

We had gotten married there 27 years ago and were back for the first time. The hosts were the same folks who were there when we married- Linda and Gene. They are so friendly and helpful, the room was immaculate and the breakfast food and service were amazing. We’re thinking we might make this an annual visit!

Lovely restored Victorian b& b in beautiful small town setting across from lake. Nice walking area, good breakfast, comfortable room, friendly hosts.

The hosts are wonderful people. The room, the Skylight, was more than we could have imagined. The breakfast was first class. This place is worth every penny you pay. You will leave so satisfied , you will not be able to wait to tell others .

Stay there. You will love it.
Charming b&b. Linda and Gene are wonderful hosts. I felt totally at home and enjoyed spending a quiet evening reading in the lovely public rooms- full pf character and tastefully decorated. Great breakfast and wonderful location to explore Lake George area. Highly recommended.

Best B&B in the Lake George area
Our stay at the B&B was fantastic, the breakfast was amazing and the hosts are the wonderful. I would recommend to anyone if in the Lake George area to stay there.

Amazing Bed and Breakfast! Everyone is very friendly and the Inn is spotless. The breakfast was delicious and the homemade breads, cakes and muffins were to die for!! Can't wait to to back!

Elegant and Romantic Getaway
We celebrated our 35th anniversary at this beautiful bed and breakfast. The Inn was absolutely beautiful and the room was very clean and decorated with such attention to detail. The inn keepers were very friendly and hospitable. When Linda realized I had a little dog, she went out of her way to give us two harnesses that had belonged to her dog. Very thoughtful and kind. Finally the breakfast was a 5 star treat. We will never forget our romantic stay at Lamplight Inn. Many thanks to Gene and Linda

Peaceful Elegance
This is a classic old fashioned Bed and Breakfast. Beautiful Victorian home. The breakfast is incredible and extremely filling. Kinda and Gene are fantastic hosts. We always stay in the main house. Be advised there is no elevator and all rooms are on second floor. If you can't climb stairs, you should book in the little cottage out back. It's nice to stay away from the tourist trap of Lake George! If you really need to go there, it's a 20min drive. We will definitely be coming back!

Top Notch! Beautiful B&B
This is the most amazing Bed and Breakfast ever!!!! Beautiful rooms and grounds, delicious breakfast cooked up by Gene himself and his wife Linda who bakes better than my mother! And my mother is a fantastic baker! If you want a romantic getaway, or just time to relax and take a little step back in time, this is the place for you. We will be returning for years to come. My husband and I love it here.

Outstanding in all aspects
This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast. My wife and I needed a night away and we picked a winner. We are from near Saratoga Springs and amazed at this Oasis we found in Luzerne. I can’t say enough about the property, room, breakfast and staff. Linda and Gene were incredible hosts and put so much into their place and making sure their guests are welcome and comfortable. Sally is wonderful too. We went away for one night and came home feeling like we are old friends. We will definitely be back and I urge anyone near or far away to try this B&B - you will not be disappointed! Thank you Gene and Linda for an outstanding experience!!!

We get a lot of our winter guests from the Albany, NY area. Since we are just within an hour for most, and us upstate New Yorkers know how to drive in snow. We want you to feel like you are a million miles away and are pampered for a little while.

We love going to the lamp light inn. The room is always welcoming and very clean. The owners are so hospitable. The morning breakfast is in an area with large windows that you can view the surrounding grounds. Breakfast meal is great!

Charming bed and breakfast north of Saratoga
I absolutely loved my stay at the Lamplight Inn. I was in NY for racing and the sales at Saratoga, so it was a bit off the beaten path....but 100% worth the peace and quiet! I appreciated the suggestion to climb Hadley Mountain (great view from the Fire Tower!) and loved the teddy bear antics. I would definitely recommend the Lamplight Inn.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The owners are so friendly - as well as the staff. Breakfast in the sunroom was delicious every morning. The Inn is decorated with great care and truly gives you that homey comfortable feeling. Highly recommended!

We are a true bed and breakfast, and try to be out there with our guests. My dining room servers are friendly and try to give our guests the best experience. We like everyone to leave breakfast with a full belly.

Celebrating 33rd wedding anniversary
My husband and I chose this beautiful bed & breakfast for our 33rd wedding anniversary. We were so happy we did, our stay was lovely and so peaceful. Morning breakfast was amazing, staff very friendly and Linda owner stopped to welcome us. I would definitely stay again and another plus Lake George was only a ten minute drive.

Don't pass up this up.. an amazing place
The stay was great! Gene and Linda are friendly, warm hosts who are concerned about making sure your stay is top notch. When we arrived, HOTELS.COM was having some technical problems and there was an issue with the reservation. Gene and Linda worked with us to make sure it was resolved quickly and then upgraded our room for our troubles, even though the issue was with Hotels.com and not them. The room (Northern) was spacious, comfortable and clean. Biggest and most pleasant surprise was the breakfast! Start with a fresh baked muffin or pastry, fruit and yogurt, Linda's home made granola and associated fixings. There is a daily special, French Toast one morning, followed by Belgian Waffles with strawberries and cream, the next day on this visit. Then there is your choice of eggs.... and this is all included! Don't forget to include a gratuity for your server, because this is not a little buffet in a back room, but a sit down, cooked to order, full breakfast. Service wise, if no one was at the main house, you had a number to call and they were there for you. Location, the Lamplight is a little off the beaten path, which we thought was great. Very quiet, but very close to everything. You can walk to a gourmet restaurant (Up River Cafe), a small supermarket, drug store, and the beach on Lake Luzerne. You are 10-15 minutes from bigger cities and main highways. All in all, it is well worth the value and the stay!
