We needed a place to spend one night as we were driving north to Spokane. We specifically booked at Best Western, for the refrigerator (travelling with a cooler full of food) and the reputation (chain hotel and familiarity), etc. The staff member who checked us in was super friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The only complaint we had, and one that will keep us away from Best Westerns in the future, is the "instant coffee" served with breakfast. We threw our hotel cups of coffee away and went to the coffee shop across the street for real cups of morning coffee.

on expedia, the motel is listed with a pool and hot tub. I was traveling with my 7 yo granddaughter, and drove from winnemucca to lakeview with an evening in the pool anticipated. When we arrived , there was a sign indicating the pool and spa have been closed. The desk person said there are no plans to open them-- they had just taken pictures, and planned on updating the description on expedia. I asked for a price adjustment, was told I need to contact expedia. I sent expedia a message 2 days ago--no reply. The motel was fine, except I feel I paid a premium expecting a pool--there were "pool-less" options and lower prices.

I rented room 117. The shower control knob was broken and I was unable to control the temperature of the water. I was unable to shower. I brought it to the front desk attention. I ask for a partial refund. The woman was not helpful. She said maintenance would have to look into it. She could have walked to the room to see for herself. I never heard from them again. No partial refund. A few days later I tried calling them and they did not pick up the phone. Contacted Expedia and they were able to secure a full refund. Thanks Expedia!

Extremely clean, upgraded bathroom, comfortable bed. Excellent free breakfast- hot sausage and eggs, homemade biscuits and grave, and very hot, strong fresh coffee. Best room we’ve had in a while, and we travel through a lot of small towns. Oh, and a great stop for breakfast or lunch is the Tall Town cafe!

The room is small the bathroom small. My particular room was right beside an outside stairway light so not only did a large amount of light come in through the window at tonight there were holes in the curtains that were suppose to be keeping the light out. Then the heating system in my room started making terrible noises all night long 4 different times and when I woke up the room was cooler. It was very cold that night and I was exhausted l didn’t want to have to have someone come in the room and according to online I had booked the last room available and the parking lot was filled to the brim with work trucks. I told the front desk person the next morning she had me text her the video I had taken of the noise it was making. I asked for some compensation as the room was $200 and I my sleep was interrupted 4 times. She said she would send it to her boss that was out of state at the time to see about what they could do. I contacted them two different times here on the app with absolutely no response and my stay was almost two weeks ago now. The people are nice the breakfast is good but it’s a bit much for no more than what it is. It’s an old building with all outside entrances to the rooms. I guess my next step will be to call them since they aren’t responding here in the app.
