"Breakfast was sad. No hot items like picture showed, coffee pot was sad. Amenities included pool but when asked they said it was under maintenance but no sign on pool saying so. There was holes in the rooms wall that had been poorly patched. They spent a lot of money on decor but the place was still ratty. They need to upgrade not spend money on tacky decor. Fix your walls and floors and get better equipment for breakfast."

"The heating/ac unit was way too loud. Had to turn it off so I could hear the tv. Room was very clean - beds comfortable. The breakfast was good - standard breakfast buffet. Coffee very good. Gentlemen at check-in was awesome. My only "complaint" is that I booked through Expedia and the room was one of three that look out at the mechanical systems that are enclosed above the pool. I had no view - just a brick wall. Couldn't see to the left or right. A little sky showed above. I realize that at the lower rate for booking online - you don't get the best views but a parking lot would have been better than a brick wall."

"It’s a wonderful property- or once was….needs a million dollar clean up and update…..Staff are wonderful and the restaurant and Rafters Bar are wonderful hangouts in the off season. Nice trails and location. Easy access to Alexandria and interesting check points all around."

"We had stayed here last November also and you can tell the difference with the new owners. Everything is shaping up nicely. New carpet and everything was spotless. They have a nice breakfast available also. Plan on staying here often as we have a new grandson in the area."
