Lovely, comfortable and welcoming.
A lovely clean environment with plenty of room for our whole family. Service was great and we were even offered our room to be decorated for my daughters birthday with a cake. Always lovely when someone goes the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

Very basic
We booked last minute as a family of 6. Rooms were fresh and clean. I’m not one for leaving bad reviews or being nasty but that was about the only good thing about it. When we arrived we stood for about 20mins before someone came to check us in. The lady was pleasant enough and gave us our keys and told us our rooms but that was all she said, didn’t tell us about bar opening hours etc or if we could pay for breakfast as it’s advertised and there’s photos of it, had no idea what time check out was at either had to look it up online. She just seemed far to focussed on getting cash out of us for parking our 2 cars in the car park which was empty. Thought that was a bit crappy tbh it should be included in the price. £40 for a day n a half. The rooms were fresh and clean. No bedside tables with side lamps, one main light which meant when kids were going to sleep I had to leave the bathroom light on. Tv didn’t work at all. No hairdryers in room. No hand towel for drying your hands, no shower mat someplace was really slippy coming out of shower. Apart from checking in we never saw a single other person or member of staff till we checked out. The reception door where the bar was, was constantly locked. If your looking for just a room then fair enough but I won’t be returning.

Not lighting not even emergency lighting
Came back after being out with my husband to complete darkness not even emergency lighting on in the hotel. Husband managed to get hold of the owners but they were unable to sort the problem with the electrics. So had to try and navagate around the hotel and room in complete darkness. In the mornjng when we went to check out of our room there was not even an apology from the owner. Wont be back

Was ideal for our 1 night stay. Close to promenade transport links. Friendly management who swiftly dealt with our check-in. Room was clean as expected.

Check your booking b4 you go!
From the outside - not a good look, all you see is a room full of junk. On entry it is clean, and the two staff i saw were friendly, however apparently hotel.com had not passed on my booking, and the only room left was a 5 bed family room, for two of us. I was offered this at £100. A night, on top of what i had already paid ( told i could claim that back from Hotels.com - another saga) After checking around, there was nothing else suitable available at 6.30 pm so i took it The room was very nice, but being at the top of the house had very poor water pressure. Im still waiting on a receipt to pass on to hotels.com so i can reclaim my original booking payment back

Avoid and go elsewhere!!!
2 might stay Aug 2022. Stayed many times in Blackpool, in Hotels of all shapes and sizes. Would never normally write a negative review as I am not that sort of person. Well here we go. Firstly you are greeted by “parking is extra”, ok not a problem, I can go with that. Then you spend quite a while playing auto Tetris to actually get your car in. The family-owners were friendly enough, but at the end of my stay I think this friendly face covers a face of financial cynicism. Most hotels in Blackpool have issues and probably like you I am happy to ignore most of them. For instance, a avocado coloured 1970s bathroom, a very small shower, a tv whose remote doesn’t work, a lack of refilled coffee on a multi night stay. These don’t matter to me. This hotel offered all of the above plus a absomutely stone cold shower. Of course we reported the issue and later in the day the owner visited our room and a trickle of tepid water flowed through the sink tap, great we thought back in business, all is forgiven.Well no. After 6 showers (3 each) during a two night stay, NOT ONE WAS HOT/TEPID or close to being less than freezing.The owner told us ”its because everyone is showering at once”. As a plumber, I realise that is a lie, “not enough hot water in the cylinder” stated the owner, another falsehood. I came to the conclusion that this room, never has had hot water, and the owner relies on one night stays who they can put it down to a one off. Choosing to take your money and be hard faced.

Our room was ok the blinds we're full of dust, one of the plug sockets didn't work, the boiler was quite noisy, also could do with somewhere to leave you're key's if you need to check out early

It was ok but seems very military run With lots of restrictions and a fine for coming in late Expensive with no breakfast and rooms very out dated . I’ll be honest I would no go back there as for half the price round the corner and breakfast .. Shame really as the owner seems a pleasant person ..

Small but clean
This was a last minute trip away. The room was small and basic but clean. No issues with the room but the bed seemed small for me and my husband. Ideal if you are just wanting somewhere to lay your head for the night.

Great place to stay , great location
We did a last min booking @ this hotel, & took our grandson with us, we stayed in a family room, which had a double & single bed in, both were comfortable , nothing was to much trouble for the owner Phil, the room was hot being on the top floor & being a warm day, & he supplied us win a fan when we asked & extra pillows , the room was spotless & a welcoming tray of the usual tea/ coffee / milk , plenty of sockets for charging phones etc , I am not sure due to it being a family room, that was not a lamp in room, as smaller kids & China shop antics , but room could do with some kind of over head lighting , or dim switch in room, so mum/ dad can have some light when the little ones go off to sleep , also not sure if it’s due to current situation , & to keep laundry costs down, as I did notice that all duvets are under visually packed & laundered, so each guest gets fresh duvet & cover , so I’m guessing is why the mattress & pillows have not protectors on them, but I say this more to protect them, than anything else, as the mattresses are quality ( think IKEA) so to protect them , I would suggest protectors , this is is no way a negative , it’s just a suggestion, but lamp / dimmer I would suggest for mum/ dad for evening , we would give our stay 10 out of 10 , thank you to the person who canceled last minute, so we could make memories with our grandson 🙏💛💜

Great place to stay
Friendly polite service on arrival. Hotel is close to the promanade so easy access to attractions. Arrive early as parking becomes an issue but none the less a good place to stay

Wonderful weekend
Stayed for the weekend with my son to celebrate the end of GCSEs and school. We were warmly welcomed. The reception area is lovely, clean and spacious. The room was so comfortable and clean. We had breakfast brought up to the room both mornings. A lovely hot bacon and egg roll, blueberry muffin and fruit. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Always a nice friendly chat with the guys when we saw them. Making sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely be returning. It’s one of the friendliest places I’ve ever stayed at. We felt so well looked after and welcome.

great hotel
we went for a two night stay at the wavecrest hotel, from the moment we got there we had a very friendly and warm welcome. the owner could not have been more welcoming. although the exterior was a bit worn, the inside of this hotel was modern , the bedroom we stayed in had been recently refurbished, the room was bright and clean and had every thing you could want, we would recommend this hotel.

Value for money
The hotel is in the process of being refurbished, so some of the rooms are still to be done, we were in one of the rooms that had been done and we're very happy with the standard of finish. The outside of the hotel does not do it justice, but once inside you are pleasantly surprised, with the fittings and decor having a modern look. The owner and staff are extremely pleasant and happy to assist, we would definitely stay there again.

Close to town and waterfront. Parking tight and got blocked in and had to knock on someone's door to get them to move. Room was showing its age but was tidy. Manager was helpful on arrival and is doing rooms up. Value for money and good for a weekend away

Nice hotel, close to beach, friendly team
We booked 2 rooms for the 6 of us, the owner went out of his way to ensure we hade a parking spot and at £5 per day that's very reasonable. The location suited us, because one day we went to the pleasure beach, another day to the Tower, so wanted something in-between, and it's very close to the sandy beach. From the outside looks plain but from inside is all refurbished. Rooms bit cramped for 3 people. All-in-all it was quite nice as the host family was accommodating. The hotel is not perfect by any means, but we weren't expecting it to be.

Wish can have a better experience.
The hotel reception is a very friendly guy however the hotel needs some serious update, especially so in the room i was in. The main light does not work, hot water was not available and had to wait for refill, toilet needs repeated flush to work, neighbourhood is noisy even after midnight as people parking car downstair and talk loudly. Worst the hotel guests are so noisy even at 2-3 am in the morning where they walked and talked heavily and opened and shut doors repeatedly.....repeatedly.

Clean, child friendly hotel.
The hotel was undergoing a refurbishment and we had one of the newly refurbished rooms. The room was excellent with a good sized en suite. The 3 of us (2 adults and 1 child) fitted into the room nicely and were not cramped or falling over each other. TV situated on the wall could be visible from both beds at the same time which was an advantage. Staff and management were all friendly and approachable answering any questions/queries we had promptly. Overall, the hotel was clean, well presented and I would return for another stay. The advantage of parking was also available at a reasonable cost of £5. per day.

we had trouble getting into hotel when we arrived checking in was a bit of a nightmare having to fill in form bedroom was not very comfortable as nowhere to sit.Breakfast was very good excellent food and very friendly staff.

Wavecrest wonder
Totally exceeded our expectations. Situated close to all amenities and blackpo sights.They were in the middle of refurbishing our room so gave us free parking. It was clean, warm and comfy. The staff were so welcoming( especially Shirley the waitress at breakfast). The hidden bar with pool table was the highlight for my son and dad. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
