Clean and Comfortable, but Lacking in Emergency Preparedness Overall, the hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. In fact, I found it cleaner than several other hotels we have stayed at, and under normal circumstances, I would have had a positive impression. Unfortunately, the power outage during our stay exposed some serious concerns. The entire property was left in darkness, and we had to use our phone flashlights to move around. I understand that power outages can happen and may be beyond the hotel's control, but the lack of effective backup systems was disappointing. We were told at check-in that an emergency phone at the entrance could be used to contact staff. However, that phone also depended on electricity and did not work during the outage. This is particularly concerning because an emergency communication system should remain available when the power fails. The outage also affected basic necessities. We were checking out early and could not properly wash our faces or get ready because essential facilities were unavailable. My biggest concern is winter. Temperatures in this region can reach around -30°C. A prolonged outage without reliable backup power could mean losing heating, lighting, and other essential services, potentially creating a serious safety issue. For a hotel at this price point, I would expect a reliable backup generator or emergency power system, emergency lighting, and an independent way to contact staff. Overall disappointing
