"Golden Nugget is nowhere as fun or comfortable as it used to be (say five/ ten years ago), but it still has a few pluses. You just have to work the angles. Dont stay in the Carson Tower ]stay in Rush], don't dine at Saltgrass or Claim Jumper and don't gamble there AT ALL! Their games are all horribly set, and nobody ever wins anything. If you must play, Fremont Casino is okay, and/or El Rancho Casino is probably the best downtown."
