“Hair dryer in the room didn't work and was hanging off the wall. Floors were very dirty. Bed was good and breakfast was ok. Front desk staff were helpful.”

“The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!”

“Hotel right off Interstate..you can walk to fast food restaurant and gas station near by..microwave and small refrigerator was a plus..could be a little cheaper it was $106 a night..but over all good stay”

“We had two rooms during our stay, and unfortunately neither had hot water for showers on either night. We reported the issue and were told to run the water for 15–20 minutes to heat up. Even after waiting that long, the water was only lukewarm at best. Breakfast was fair, the rooms were clean, and the staff was nice and understanding, which we did appreciate. However, the lack of hot water was a major inconvenience.This was a 300.00 a night room. With no compensation for the inconvenience....

“We stayed here because the resort looked beautiful and it was... the decor and style was amazing! Beautifully done. Unfortunately, I should have gotten the clue when we walked into the room and laying on the bedside was a white noise machine and ear plugs. Not only could we hear the trains - but we could hear our neighbors on either side fully!! Their convos and their music, they weren't loud there was just no sound barrier whatsoever in between the rooms. Until this is fixed I do not...

“No complimentary coffee in the lobby! That was a disappointment. No one uses the in room coffee maker after seeing how gross they can be. Not particularly this hotel but generally most coffee makers.”
