“06/2026: We were excited for our stay, but our experience was the worst of Costa Rica. On our first night, after a long day of travel, the toilet in Room 28 flooded after a single flush at 9:43 PM. “Lovely self sustaining eco resort in the midst of the forest. We loved the food, the coziness of the cabin, the yoga classes, and wandering around the property. The farm tour and the night tour were fun activities to do with a 4 year old. We did not like: occasional smell of sewage around the property, especially around the pools. Dated bathrooms in cabins - needs a refresh. Construction noise around the property. ”

“The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again.”

“Our stay at Belcruz was absolutely amazing. From the staff, to the grounds and the food everything was five stars. The breakfast was the best we’ve had on the trip and the dinner was 5 star restaurant quality. The best part was how family friendly it was our kids had an amazing time exploring the trails on property, seeing the wildlife and playing with the B&Bs dog Rocky. If I could rate it higher I would. Absolutely fantastic experience and we will be back !!!”

“The location and property are absolutely beautiful! Incredible views! The grounds are kept meticulously! The rooms are clean and neat. The rooms are simple and yet elegant at the same time. The staff were very forgiving of my limited Spanish. A little harder to get to but worth the drive. The restaurant on property was excellent. Just a small sidenote… There was no air conditioner in my smaller room. I knew this going into it and the nice breeze that was almost constant.”
