The position of the hotel is perfect, very close to the cathedral, castle & shops, & it has a car park. Our room was extremely comfortable, all the staff were very friendly & the meals were excellent.

Staff were very helpful for accommodating our large dining party in the restaurant. We will be back again. Breakfast was super and again staff very attentive to our needs. Only negative was the mattress was hard compared to what we like.

My one concern was the pictures on the room advertisement were incorrect in relation to the room we actually had The impression we both received was that it would be in kind of suite.

A lovely room and bathroom, large comfortable bed and good breakfast (although eggs a bit overdone). Friendly staff and convenient for local attractions. Only downside was lack of parking. There is a patrons’ car park behind the hotel, but it was full with pub/restaurant customers’ cars. We ended up paying to park in a separate car park off site. This wouldn’t stop us from staying again though.

This is a creaky old pub and hotel, but well maintained and really fun. You feel as if you’ve entered the past. We’d be happy to stay there again.

We stayed for just 1 night. Great pub/hotel. Lovely room, fan provided as it was very warm. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Beer garden was superb, little gem hidden out back. Breakfast included was also delicious. Parking also included. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely old building, tastefully decorated. Room really nice, bed comfortable, with a great hospitality tray. Very good breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Bar great with a good selection of drinks. Free parking too. Good value for a Friday night stay. Thank-you.

Superb location, first rate room, excellent staff, very good dinner options but let down by breakfast options. Breakfast was fine if eggs in one form or other are your thing. If not then the choice was appalling. Cleary they have not heard of a continental breakfast in any shape or form - serving a single so called croissant on a large plate was beyond a joke. Similarly the cereal selection was limited to high sugar level options with muesli nowhere to be seen. This lack of attention to commonplace breakfast choices spoiled somewhat what is otherwise an excellent hotel and one which we would use again and again but on a room only basis with breakfast purchased elsewhere.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Lincoln. It is within a few minutes walk of the cathedral and there are pubs and restaurants close by so you are unlikely to need your car once you park in the car park just behind the hotel. While the hotel is actually more of a pub, the rooms are of excellent quality and the breakfasts were lovely. The staff were very friendly and we will definitely book this property again - and stay for longer! A great find in a lovely city!

Don't be put off by the frontage, a coat of paint would transform the look in line with the rest of the hotel. The hotel is situated in the old part of Lincoln a stones throw from both the Cathedral and Castle,on the hill above the City Centre although this is easily walkable There is some parking to the rear but it is quite limited. There is a very nice outdoor beer terrace also to the rear. The room we had was very nicely decorated and well maintained, it looked as if it had been recently refurbished but that had taken place 18 months ago. The room was quite small, it was a very old building, but was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. The same went for the bathroom which had a reasonably sized walk in shower. We had dinner in the hotel, a good selection on the menu and reasonably priced. The food and service were excellent. The dining area is quite rustic in line with the age of the hotel but very comfortable. There was no sense of being rushed. We were able to sit there as long as we wanted. The breakfast was the slight downside. As residents we were asked to select the night before despite it being open for walk ins. The selection wasn't great either. A nice continental buffet along with the usual cooked offering would have been so much better. Would we stay again, most definitely.

A pub with rooms situated in the old part of the city at the top of the hill, in easy walking distance of the cathedral and castle. Car parking at rear, but don’t trust the claim of an EV charger without checking first as it was long term out of service when we were there. Good food in the restaurant and good beer on the bar. Amply sized rooms with interesting views from those on the front. We’d go again.
