They both greeted us and asked if we would require an evening meal which we did. They were able to join us for a drink before serving the MOST delicious four course meal from locally sourced produce (including from their own garden) and wine at a very reasonable price. "I love this place. Location was a little hard to see but once you found it easy to get back to it. The host was lovely very informative. Made reservations for dinner explained they eat late. Room was lovely, updated, clean, cozy, modern with a flair for French of old. Need new TV's that you can connect to Prime video and also Netflix so people from other country who need a different language. I would recommend !!! "

"We have stayed here a few times as a nice place to stop on our road journey from the UK to Italy and back. The hotel is very conveniently located just off the A6 autoroute so doesn’t involve a big detour. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Parking the car is very easy, and there are a few EV chargers. The grounds are quite spacious with some green spaces, we were able to give our dog a good walk around the exterior of the hotel. The breakfast is really nice with a decent choice of hot and cold food. We did eat in the restaurant in the evening one time, the food was fairly ordinary, and it was very busy and quite disorganised when we came to pay, somehow we ended up paying for the wrong table, but they did sort it out in the end."

"This hotel is ideally situated half way down through France. A very useful overnight stop if you are travelling further south. The staff are helpful and the rooms are clean. Not a huge room, but enough space for two people to share. There is a Camponile Inn on the same campus, which serves meals, or if you prefer a hamburger & chips, there's a Buffalo Grill about 150 yards down the road. We've stayed overnight here on many occasions as we've travelled from Calais to the south coast of France and have never had a bad experience."

"Our accommodations at Hotel St. Regis were good and provided us a perfect location to walk to and see the finish of Stage 12 of the 2026 Tour de France. Classic French building in the heart of Chalon-sur-Saone. Air conditioner was a little weak but we did what the locals do and opened the large floor to ceiling windows and that kept us comfortable for the night in spite of the ongoing heatwave. The hotel is on a busy street but is in walking distance of several plazas, the canal, and many restaurants. Also, there is dedicated and secured parking just a block from the hotel. If your travel plans include Chalon-sur-Saone, you should consider a stay in Hotel St. Regis!"
