"The inn is in an old historic building, with lots of original character. Fantastic to have parking. Great location, short walk to town. We stayed in the Victory room on the first floor. Things to know: We had a window AC but no thermostat to control heat (fortunately we had ideal weather). We were next to a restaurant in the building so had to keep curtains closed as people were walking...

"Had a harbor side room on second floor with patio & great view; loved it. The bartender in their restaurant was fantastic—great service and personable. When we checked in we encountered a very terse front desk employee. Very impatient and not friendly. Bed mattresses were extremely hard & painful to sleep on. Made our own adjustments. Again front desk not helpful."

The walking bridge to the other side of the bay was very close and a short walk to lots of shops and restaurants. there is no elevator just steps. It was not easy bringing our heavy suitcases up to the second floor. If I went back booth bay harbor I would probably stay again on the ground floor."
