“Fantastic hotel, would highly recommend. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and has a great vibe to it. The food was phenomenal and I ended up eating breakfast and lunch most days at the hotel. It's in a great location too and has an awesome little swimming spot in the ocean. I was a solo traveler and felt very safe here. Very worth it to upgrade your room to an ocean view!! Would definitely come back!”

“If you want sleep and peace after a long journey, this is not your place, doors slamming all hours furniture scraping on the ceiling. Two encounters with combative staff. Don’t forget to take your room towel to the pool, you won’t be given another and have to go ALL the way back to your room to get them!! Very rude front desk member asked why we didn’t take ours when we asked for pool towels, there were no signs that the towels in the room were needed for the pool! Then at breakfast be prepped...

“Hotel was well located close to the marina and centre of Funchal. Room was nice enough although the view was of a neighbouring building. The gym was limited and the rooftop pool was very small and seating limited. Breakfast was okay but it was a bit of a scrum because there was limited space. Finally when we wanted the bedding changing we did as requested on the card in the room but despite requesting this on two occasions the bedding wasn’t changed which was disappointing. Not a 5 star hotel...
