The staff are super friedly and helpful, the manager present and helpful, the hotel is in an amazing state and the rooms were wide and spacious. The food selection at the 2 restaurants was good, but the quality and the taste of the food was fantastic! The pool could be a bit cooler but that's also a symptom of the weather conditions. Highly highly recommended"

"We had an amazing time at Explorar. We were a bit hesitant to book at the start given the unknown/name of the hotel, but we're so glad we ended up booking. It was nothing short of amazing, the room, facilities, pool, bar, food (special highlight to the Pad Thai and the wood fire pizzas), and the staff is definitely a highlight. We could name so many people here, Jor, Ticky, Sophia, they were just great! Definitely recommend for anyone looking at exploring Koh Samui."

"Ban tai was beautiful! The villa was very up-to-date and the staff was super helpful and friendly. The only negative is that they do not accept credit cards for check-in, despite it being listed on hotels.com as an option. Management claimed it’s because they have issues with physically using credit cards which seems incredibly odd for a luxe villa. The management wanted to hold 10,000 baht in cash during the stay, which is absurdly high compared to other stays in the area. "

"Property looks great in photos but in actuality upon arrival you will realize that the property is very old, dated and in poor repair. I would not recommend this property to anyone. The Penthouse suite was up many stairs, very steep and the roof was leaking. They did eventually upgrade us to a Honeymoon Villa at no extra charge after 5 hours of conversation. They attempted to do the minimum to make us happy and we were told that we could not get a refund under any circumstances even if we talked...
