“Great choice to stay in Tissa. The manager was a lovely man and very caring. The property is close to town and looked brand new. The room and bathroom were extra large and opulent. The breakfast cooked by the manager was magnificent.”

“We were there for a quick over-night to go on a safari in the early morning. The evening meal was poor, in fact it was take-out from another supplier and not prepared on the spot. The box breakfast was poor. The room was fine. We did not use the pool. It is quite far from the nature park so requred a long drive to get to the safari. Generally it was OK for the price. Just have realistic expectations.”

“had a short stay at kithala and we were given a very warm welcome by the front office team .. they make you feel at home and invited us to light the Oil Lamp which is a symbol of respect ..it was very special ..wish we had stayed for few more days !! ”

“The staff was helpful in organising a safari and in general with the hotel. The pool looks and feels great for a dip to cool down. ”

“The room was ok, with good views of the lake, but found lots of creepy crawlies and insects in our room one inside bed, and one inside of a folded towel, the food was not that brill, we ordered prawn curry but they gave us shrimps, with watery gravy, probably ok for the locals. ”

“Had trouble at first with staff saying booking didnt go through so had to contact hotels via X to sort out. The one staff was a great guy, so freindly and helpful, i was in the area to visit national park and he arranged this for me. Only problem with hotel is internet did not work, and no phone reception in that area either. ”
