"Lovely little boutique hotel run by super friendly hosts. The rooms are quite something and the place is chock full of eccentric vintage finds, it has real character. "We had a one night stop here in October. The room had been redecorated reasonably recently, the bathroom also looked very modern, all very clean. A new mattress wouldn't go amiss though. The staff were very friendly and helpful, for our evening meal we had a pizza, which was ok, it was tasty and very filling. We didn't have breakfast so cant comment. The absolute best thing about this hotel is sitting outside the front having a drink and admiring a stunning view! That alone would bring us back. We will definitely return sometime, recommended."

"Arrived at the witching post and was greeted at the bar and shown to the room. The pub was lovely with an open fire going. The evening meal and breakfast was great and the pub is an excellent base location for lovely walks and short distance from the coast. With regards the room, I think we were close to the flue from the open fire and the room had the fire smell. The cold water tap on the bath didn’t release any water but we got round that by topping up the bath with cold water from the shower. I think the pub could easily charge a lot more for the rooms but they need a good clean and decorating (too many dusty areas and mould around the bath sealant unfortunately. For our 2 night stay, the pub was really used as a base for sleeping and eating as we were out all day, it certainly served its purpose. Needs some work to take it to another level but we really enjoyed our stay and the staff are very friendly and helpful"

"The room was described as a “comfort room “ we loved it! It was surprisingly spacious enough, beautiful decor and soft furnishings. The bedding and towels quality were exceptional. Hospitality tray and outlook were lovely. If I had to give a small negative, there was a slight odour in the bathroom, from probably the cloths/ mops used to clean, a bit “ sweaty socks” type of odour which lingered. On another practical preference negative, the restaurant is beautiful, ambient and amazing service from the young well trained and mentored staff….but….the wine glasses were a let down, please provide sophisticated wine glasses? That would be great."

Some bits of the decor need updating (which is planned) but still a relaxing and comfortable stay. The room was spacious and well equipped. The food is excellent and well presented. Would definitely recommend it."
