“We stayed here one night whilst on our hiking trip. The location of the property is literally on the trail, so it allows you to split the hike trail intro two days. However, there are no shops nearby, only a petrol station which closes at 8PM. We booked a cosy room. The room itself was fine, clean, however we did notice quite a few spiders about in the room and bathroom. The restaurant is where this property shines: the food was excellent, and it gets quite busy. We barely managed to get a table...

“This was our second visit to the lodges and we weren’t disappointed. Room was spotless, good shower and plenty of sockets. The breakfast to go is a bonus and filling. There’s a lovely courtyard which we used to sit out and have supper. If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of a hectic life this is the place to come and unwind. The host was friendly and gave us suggestions of places to visit. Will definitely go back again.”

“Staff were so lovely, from check in, bar staff and at check out. A credit to the hotel to have such lovely staff! The room was spotlessly clean, and had everything that we needed, however, windows were tiny and not able to be opened. So slightly disappointing. Overall a good stay, and would d definately return ☺️”

“It needs a crib sheet in each room telling of breakfast times, emergency tel no's etc. The room was very dark. Bathroom OK but would benefit from some shelves to put toiletries on etc. Breakfasts were very good with a wide choice. Dining in was v good but we felt overpriced. The whole experience was good but felt at £180 it represnted poor value.”
