Don’t believe what you read about Ash Street Inn; the reviews do not apply to the new owners.
Nothing promised was not delivered. And if you’re expecting a quiet stay, don’t plan on Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights. New owners are trying to add revenue by having select dinners. Smart idea but is lacking in the planning and logistics.
The new idea for the Inn to open its kitchen for curated chef-selected menus, attracts loud, alcohol consuming GenX and Millennials who are not respectful of the paying overnight guests.
What amenities does it not have that’s publicized? Breakfast onsite for one, and televisions in two rooms. Of course I booked one of the rooms that does not have a television inadvertently.
On the first floor. Where the dinner was. Luckily, I had dinner plans and was picked up by my friend. Got back to the inn about 8:45 and if I needed to park, there was no parking within 2-3 blocks.
The dinner is advertised to be from 6:30-8:30; it was going strong until almost 10pm.
Also, if it’s important to your travel plans to stay at an Inn that has the owners on property, this is not the place, even though the reviews state that the owners are there. As a woman traveling alone I would have never chosen the Ash Street Inn because of it.
Don’t believe the reviews; nothing applies because the ownership has changed hands and the new owners are riding on the coattails of the previous owners.
Save yourself some griefs and $$s; stay at a Holiday Inn.
