You are family here in the best way possible! Maran House is absolutely incredible. I fell in love with my beautiful room from the first minute. The beds and pillows are so comfortable, there is plenty of hot water, the breakfast is generous and tasty, the views are amazing, you're walkable to so much great stuff (food, shopping, historical churches and mosques, etc), and most of all, the proprietor and the staff are the most beautifully kind people you'll meet in your life. Thank you so much Omar and all of the staff, you're the best!

I spent 2 nights in the single room. The room was clean and complete in terms of amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and fulfilling. The view from the terrace wis incredible. Strongly recommended.

The hotel is located on a very steep slope with many steps to reach it, so it is definitely not suitable for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues. However, the view was amazing, looking down over the valley of Mesopotamia. Our room rate included breakfast, but unfortunately my son has a gluten allergy, so he could not eat any bread and the breakfast choices were already quite limited. When we asked if they could prepare some fried potatoes (chips) for him instead, we were told there would be an extra charge. They ended up charging nearly £6 for a portion of chips, which is one of the most expensive chips I have ever paid for. Considering we had already paid for breakfast as part of the room rate, and my son could not eat the bread options available, it was disappointing that they still charged such a high price instead of accommodating a guest with an allergy. Because of this experience, I will give this property a 3-star review and would not stay here again. It is not about the money — it is about the principle. It is a shame that for the sake of £6 they could not accommodate a guest with dietary allergies.

Very cozy and cute boutique hotel. The staff are very welcome and accommodating. There’s a few stairs to climb but very much worth it for the most breathtaking views. This place is truly a gem. The staff and owner were very kind.

Wonderful

Wonderful and beautiful place! The staff is just incredibly friendly (Musa Bey, Sibel, Ahmed) thank them very much for everything. The room is very clean, beautiful. The breakfast is very tasty, all the products are fresh. The atmosphere is like home, not a hotel. It is located in the center, but not in the middle of the road and this is very pleasing! I will definitely come back and highly recommend it to everyone!

Mardin gezimizi unutulmaz kılan en önemli şeylerden biri de Uğur Bey ve Bahar Hanım’ın samimiyeti ve misafirperverliğiydi. İlgileri sadece konakla sınırlı değildi; Mardin ve çevresi hakkında verdikleri öneriler ve her konuda yardımcı olmaları sayesinde kendimizi evimizde gibi hissettik. Mardin insanının misafirperverliğini en güzel şekilde temsil ediyorlar. Bir de o tarihi konakta, dışarıda 40 derece sıcak varken serin odalarda dinlenmenin keyfi gerçekten anlatılmaz, yaşanır. Behiye Hanım’a da ayrıca teşekkür etmek istiyorum. Elinin lezzeti muhteşemdi. Özellikle içli köftesini mutlaka deneyin, pişman olmazsınız. Her şey için gönülden teşekkür ederiz. Yolumuz Mardin’e düşerse hiç düşünmeden yine burada konaklarız. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.
