The property is reasonably priced, the rooms are spacious, the view is nice, and the restaurant serving breakfast onsite is helpful because there aren't a lot of eating options in the area. I appreciated the free coffee all day as well.
The rooms themselves look newly renovated. The bathroom was excellent...sparkling! However, the other renos look a bit shoddy and there is no decor at all so the place feels a little like a hospital room - white walls and floor, and nothing to make it feel warm/cozy.
We also found about 5 dead bugs on the floor when we came in though the room was otherwise very clean. There were a few live bugs (like potato bugs) on the floor the first morning but after that, nothing. However, it did make me feel nervous about leaving suitcases on the floor.
We were a bit disappointed at being told "you're only staying two nights so we will not be cleaning your room". I would have preferred if we were given the option to have the room cleaned if it were needed. For instance, we went kayaking and tracked some sand in despite our best efforts, and then we just ... lived with sandy floors for the next day :(
We were also given one bar of soap that was, without exaggeration, the size of a dollar. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were TINY as well. We were told we could ask for more if needed, but for two adults for two nights, what we were given initially just made the place feel like they weren't really aiming for a high standard of care/comfort.
