"Last day of stay. Elevator stopped working. We were on the 3rd floor and being seniors, We had to carry our luggage down 3 flights of stairs. They did not offer to help us. What if we had fallen. All they said, we're sorry they had called maintenance. Didn't ask if we needed help."

"This motel is not very good. I don’t know how it maintains a 8+ rating. It is worn out. It needs a thorough going over with a paint brush/roller, vacuum, duster, air freshener, etc. The bed spreads were stained and gross. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed in months. Who knows how long it’s been since a dusting has been done. Portage is a nice town to visit. Just don’t stay at the not-so-super 8"

"Only 1 bar tender, no wait staff in bar/restaurant. I was charged a ridiculous $45 resort fee. They took free coffee out of the lobby, and now they have a coffee bar service that is very slow "

"Price was right for a quick overnight. The room was clean and nicer than average pillows for a super 8. Breakfast? Minimal - but good restaurants in town nearby, so we were not counting on the breakfast. Property was a bit worn. "
