Lovely hotel in this very cute town with lots of shops and restaurants. Staff was very nice. Having a restaurant in the hotel is very convenient. Definitely recommend this hotel!
We have travelled through Berkeley Springs many times each year going to and from Route 17 and on to the shore. Each time we drove through the town we would say, "we need to spend some time here sometime". We finally made that happen and we were not disappointed! The Inn was clean and well-appointed considering its age and history. The food at the Tavern was very tasty and portion sizes were large. The staff were helpful in answering any questions we had about the town and activities during our stay. We plan to make this a yearly stop in our travels.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The old inn itself has a nice old historic feel. We stayed in the "newer" detached section of the inn behind the main inn which itself was nice and clean and pretty much like any other hotel. To get to the new section of the inn from the old historic inn you need to walk through a covered walkway ( or drive around back) which could use some clean- up or landscaping or something - there is a view of the restraunt employee smoking area, for instance, that detracts from the overall charm of the place. Otherwise, the location is great if your interested in spending a day or two in berkeley springs.
We always stay at The Country Inn while visiting Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. The location is perfect for parking your car and just walking to the shops and cafes. The weekend usually offers a street market which is also walkable from the Inn. The Spa at the Inn is very nice, but this trip didn't allow time to enjoy it. We did however enjoy the food. It is always good and the smaller plate selections are perfectly proportioned for we ladies. The staff is always very accommodating.
We had a great stay in a clean, quiet room. The staff was great. The food was excellent. There's a little in the town, but really it was nice to have such good food at the inn.
We enjoy the delicious meal in the tavern, and breakfast. The following morning was also excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We frequently stay at Berkeley Springs when traveling.
My friend and I spent 2 nights here. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the spa, and the food at breakfast and dinner was great. I look forward to coming back!
The best place to stay in Berkeley Springs, WV. Just next to the Park with natural springs and Bath Spas. Coffee in the Lobby available all day and very nice bold taste. We stayed in West Inn part, room is very spacious, A/C is not noisy. We definitely will be back soon.
Room was nice and people were friendly. The restaurant and bar on site was wonderful. Our room was in the back building and it was raining so we needed to unload in the rain with no canopy. We were on the 2nd floor and there is an elevator. Unfortunately, there was a water main that went to our area of the hotel that had an issue, and in the morning, we had no water. The main building did have water. We were given a $23 refund for the inconvenience. (No shower in the morning and the inability to flush the toilet). This is refected in my review because from reading reviews for restaurants online, I learned that the hotel may have known there was a possibility we would have no water and did not forewarn us. Otherwise, they may have gotten 5 stars.
We got the basic room. It was very nice. We had two queen beds, large room, and great air conditioning. I did not like the bathroom because for some reason the toilet and the vanity with the sink were extremely low. They were lower than the standard hight. I also woke up stiff from the bed but my husband said his bed was good for him. We ate at the restaurant, I got the Rueben sandwich, it was good but could have used a little more kraut and a little less dressing. The salad with blue cheese was very good. My husband got the meatloaf and thought is was a bit dry. We tried to get a table on Tuesday at 5:30 and were told they are taking any more reservations. I peeked in at 6:30pm that night and there were open tables. All in all a good visit and I would return.
Let me get the con out of the way first. We were initially put on the third floor of the West Inn. Unfortunately, in the roofline are the HVAC units, and we were directly beneath one. Can be rather noisy. Also unfortunately, we couldn’t be moved, it being the weekend and the hotel was full. Sunday, we were able to be moved to the second floor. With that done, this is a great hotel! Rooms are very clean and comfortable, great staff, very helpful when we were moved. Nice restaurant and bar in the hotel, the two meals we had there were delicious. Fantastic amenities onsite including a full service spa with all the pampering you could want. Berkeley Spring Park is right next door, with more spa features available. The hotel sits right on Main Street, making the downtown area very walkable, with lots of great little shops. Will definitely go back.
Room was clean and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great as well as lunch and dinner. We ate in the Tavern but I never ordered any beverages. Wonderful waiters.
Stayed 3 nights, exploring sites within a days trip. Room was comfortable, bathroom was large. Enjoyed breakfast each day at the restaurant. Staff was very courteous and professional.
Kind staff, stayed in West Inn with spacious room. The room had a a fridge but no microwave and unfortunately, microwaves are rare there. Would bring slippers as the room floors tend to collect dirt. Was a great place for kids (mine are 8 and 12) as they could run out of the room to play at the springs in the park next door daily.
