Usually breakfast was provided between 8 and 10 but not this time and nowhere was open in town to get breakfast early enough so that was disappointing had I known I would have brought food

There were only 2-3 guests in the entire building so they wouldn’t serve breakfast. And when I asked for an upgrade to a bungalow (all of them Were empty cause Of the off season) for the last 2 nights of our stay, they wanted to charge an extra $500. I was willing to pay $200 extra for the upgraded experience but they wouldn’t budge. I just think if I was the owner, I’d take the extra $200 to make the guests happy. Especially if it was complete empty. All this to say, don’t rent out the smaller rooms, they’re not worth it.

Every room has a balcony with ocean view and a little hiking trail is nearby; pet friendly- great stay if you have a dog!

The rooms in the building are shabby and awkward. For some reason the rough carpet felt damp. The room is very old and the bathroom needs an update. They are also above the restaurant where the music can be quiet loud. And with the door open all the cooking smells waft in.

Great for a quick getaway. This is our second time staying here, and both were positive experiences. It's a nice down-to-earth resort that doesn't cost a fortune. Really nice vibe, beautiful scenery, pleasant staff and a nice pub/bistro downstairs - also reasonably priced, so pretty self-contained.

Do not expect a resort. The rooms are fine but double check that you get what you pay for. Breakfast is basically toast or cereal and coffee. The pool is very small (indoors) and the ‘gym’ equipment looked like it’s rusting. At least they have electric vehicle chargers and the view is nice.

Actually, we loved everything about the place. It was comfortable, quiet, and the view was outstanding. The food in the Bistro was awesome too! There is only one thing I would suggest you do, is to install a brighter light above at the sink, otherwise our room was cozy and we loved it. The people every where we went were so friendly. We will be back!

We enjoyed the hot pool and the swiming pool. We did not like that there was not transportation available from the ferry to the property and the fact that during the days of our visit there were no dining facilities available. Both aspects should have been indicated at the time we made he reservation.

Amazing! Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and charming, beautiful view of the ocean. Pool and hot tub was awesome a quiet. Restaurant attached has great food and lovely view. 10/10 would recommend.

The Resort was okay. Typically for places on the islands they indicate access to beaches. All of the beaches we say were gravel or rocky, ie no sand. Also very limited restaurants on Mayne Island. The Mayne Island Resorts restaurant saved the day. There serving very wonderful dinners.

The location of the property is very nice, but the room we had very small, the view was blocked by a roof of a shed, very noisy above the kitchen, when the kitchen crew cleaning up at night, you can hear everything. The staff were aware of these problems, we asked to change room, they refused. Staff were nice.

Peaceful island getaway
Beautiful location and view. Bed a bit soft and small for two tall people. Would go for king next time. Great walking trails and beach right next to resort. Staff friendly.

While the resort itself is nice, the helpfulness of the staff let much to be desired. On the second night of our three night stay, my girlfriend and I were kept awake by a loud fan underneath our room, that would stop and start on ten second intervals. We tried calling the number at the desk if there are any after hours issues, but no one answered it. The next morning we asked the staff if we could have a different room. The lady we were talking to, did everything she could to talk us out of switching rooms, promising us that the fan would be turned off. Sure enough, it wasn't, and again we both had terrible night's sleeps, and unanswered calls to the after hours line. We won't be staying here again

Hi Steve, that is just terrible, I am so sorry. I thought I had the problem solved but obviously not. It turns out the air conditioner on your deck needed repair. The after hours number is for my home phone right beside my bed so I don't know how I missed your call be obviously did. If you ever come out again I will make things right. Very sorry this happened and ruined your stay.

We were not made aware that the spa facilities were closed prior to arrival which is the reason why we chose to go to this resort.

The Spa facilities such as the pool, steam room, hot tub etc. are open, but our spa practitioner is working from her home studio by appointment for now. She also has portable equipment and will do room massage, also by appointment.

No taxi or bus service.
Mayne Island has no taxi or bus service. There is a community bus operated by volunteers that has no regular schedule. If travelling by ferry as a walk on it is important to ensure that there is someone available to provide transportation to the resort. It is on the far side of the island from the ferry terminal. A good 45min to an hour walk.
