The hotel was in an older section of the city with a lot of rough looking characters wandering around. Also the streets were closed off due to construction so it was tricky to navigate around the area. The staff were friendly and the check-in was fine. The room was clean and overall the hotel was very nice. We were only there for one night but would stay there again as the rate was very reasonable and they have a nice lounge and eating area!

I liked the location in the historic downtown district. Unfortunately, there was construction on nearby streets so navigating the area was a challenge. Lots to see when out for a walk - great cafes, restaurants and close to the water.

I really like the downtown location and this is a very nice place to stay. Just beware there is a shelter next door and there can be homeless people milling about. Being homeless doesn’t make you dangerous and I have not seen anyone bothered by them. I feel perfectly safe staying there.

Beautiful building with a great atmosphere, there was even a library in the basement to. Staff were amazing as well. And so affordable.

Location is cool but the condition of the rooms and hotel left some to be desired and the breakfast was a joke. Customer service was decent other than the way they do the deposit. Overall it’s a place to lay your head at night but not much more.

Great amenities! Rooms were clean, staff was great! Area surrounding the hotel has a couple of churches that are helping the locals, but we never had any issues! Overall, great value and would stay again!

This property was very basis, but very adequate for our purposes. The bed was very worn, with a lump right in the middle, making sleeping a bit uncomfortable but the room was spacious enough. We ate in the kitchen area. Although we didn't stay for breakfast, we noticed that there was no protein on the menu. But for the price, it served our purposes.

Room was great and was quiet at night. Breakfast was good if you like waffles, toast or cold cereal. No fruit, yogurt or eggs. Staff were pleasant. Very responsive and accommodating. The area of town this is in isn’t the best but overall for the price point, it was a terrific. We would stay again.

Rang the doorbell twice. Had to call to get into the building. Room key wasn’t coded properly. Doesn’t feel like checking into a hotel, more like staying with a friend of a friend. Staff is great! Room is super clean.

The continental breakfast could have been better; was no fruit or yogurt.. a microwave in the hotel room would have been nice too. But the beds were very comfortable

the property tried to charge double the amount for damage deposit than what is posted on their website. staff were annoyed by me having my children on the booking

Hi Jason, I am sorry that you feel that the issue was your children. We love kiddos. We have a policy like every hotel, that we must have a major credit card to book with us. If not, a 500 deposit is required for cash or debit transactions.

I recently stayed at Villa Hotel and had a wonderful experience! The staff at Villa Hotel was very friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean and comfortable. Aa stated in some of the other reviews, the area was a bit sketchy with homeless people. However they have a gated parking area. The building is nice, but going through some reorganization so there is a buch of clutter on the bottom floor. This place did exceed my expectations.
