"I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only thing was the bed was too soft but that is my preference. It was a really nice hotel."

"The hotel is right on the lake. Awesome views. Convenient to the town. We parked our car when we arrived and used it again when we left 3 days later. Cooperstown is a village and easily walkable."

"The property itself was not clean. The helpfulness of the staff varied greatly from one person to the next. But, none of the 3 people behind the counter I spoke to about the man who walked his dog outside the front sliding doors and let it pee right on the rubber door mat, cleaned it. Simply getting a bucket of water or using a hose would have sufficed but they did nothing. One of the workers told me he does that all of the time and shook her head. It was just gross and knowing it was there, we thought about it every time we went in or out of the building. As far as the room went, it was okay but the bathroom was way too small and the carpets throughout the place (room and hallways) needed a deep cleaning but probably just replaced. The whole place is due for an update. The free breakfast which was barely serviceable and was probably the best feature of the place. I wish I would have spent a few extra bucks for the Courtyard down the road because there was nothing that screamed or even whispered "quality" here."

Friendly cat, who wasn't supposed to be in our part of the house, but for a few minutes, there he was. Entryway and breakfast room has literature about history of village of Laurens and the original owners of the house."
