Great for a short stay in Merida

Checked in for a two day stay as part of a longer Mérida vacation. Perfectly located with very nice grounds and pool. Friendly staff.

Definitely stay here

We just spent 8 nights here. It is very well located, right across from the square and about four blocks from plaza grande. The rooms are big, the pool was great, and the staff were wonderful!

Beautiful property. Very clean and very beautiful. The two queen bedrooms were enormous. Location is spectacular — cannot be beat. It’s both lively and quiet (i.e. no loud bars or clubs but a lively small square with lots of sit down restaurants and cafes and family-friendly music).

We had a room in the very back of the garden and enjoyed the peace and quiet right in the middle of the happening area. Wonderful to hang out on balcony or by the pool in lush gardens. Wish they would provide access to coffee before 7:30 am. Can't beat the location!

The rooms were spacious, had two windows each, overlooked the pool, and the setting back from the street (lobby and restaurant in front) guaranteed peace and quiet. We needed to be there to rest after a very intense week out looking at Maya ruins, and it was perfect.

Perfect place to visit Merida

Perfect location. Large & comfortable bedrooms with everything you need. The front desk is very helpful. Parking garage is also a plus and not very common in downtown. The perfect place to visit Merida.

This property is an excellent choice. The only barely negative is no coffee maker in the room. That is only a problem because I am an early riser and most places don’t open till 7 am

Location, location, location.

This hotel had a very cozy feel which I prefer over the large luxury hotels. When you leave your room to amble about for the day, you are a short distance from room to street. You have a lovely park lined with restaurants across the street. This historic downtown hotel gives you close access to affordable and fine dining.

Casa Lucia Hotel is just as promised by the description, photos and prior reviews. Great walkable area, lots to see and do and the people that work in the hotel are very nice and helpful. There is construction on the streets nearby so if you have mobility challenges this may be a consideration until the city is done with the work. For us it was not a problem and our stay has been fantastic.

The property is well located with restaurants, shops and in the downtown area. The rooms are large and spacious but I had to ask twice for our room to be cleaned. The shower is awful with a trickle of water barely coming out. The swimming pool looked dirty. The staff member that checked us in when we arrived was great. He was the staff member doing the grave night shift.

Waited 15 minutes but room ready but was complete in a rushed manner: no extra toilet paper, now vault instructions,TV remotes don’t work properly & no instructions.

The room was beautiful in every aspect, the decor, the bathroom, the choice of window treatment. However: someone should have told us that they don't have king beds weeks ago and we would have gone elsewhere. Despite the fact that we reserved a room with a king weeks in advance and arrived early to check in, they said there are no more king beds.

The Casa Lucia Hotel Boutique is located right next to Santa Lucia Square, which is the perfect location if you want to partake in Merida's cultural offerings. Every evening there is almost always something going on in the square, and if there is not, it is only about a three block walk to the central square were there are almost always nightly activities as well. There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel itself is modern with good wifi and there is a nice pool. It is clean and safe and the service is excellent. However, some of the furniture in the rooms are dated. The flooring in our room was nice but very old tiling. If you are expecting the Ritz, this may not be the place for you. Personally, I thought these things added to the hotel's charms. We stayed a week here and did not want to leave. I would not hesitate to book with this hotel again.
