This is the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel. Each time it seems to be better and is my go to budget hotel in Mexico City. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bathrooms are clean with lots of hot water for the shower. Only some rooms have air-conditioning, but I have never found it to be uncomfortable in the rooms with fans. The restaurant is excellent. It is a short walk to Zocolo and the historic centre as well as subway station I like that is a short taxi ride to the airport

El hotel está bien, lo que si debe mejorar es el servicio del restaurante. El servicio es malo, tardado, las señoritas te atienden sin ganas. Se tardan mucho, las bebidas hay que pedirlas varias veces, pues no las llevan, toca comer a secas, es algo que de verdad molesta mucho.

No le pongo 5 solo porque cuando realice la reservación fue con camas matrimoniales y cuando nos entregaron fue en individuales, nos cambiaron al día siguiente lo cual está bien pero no es excelente.

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. However, the room was stuffy. There is no air conditioning. There was a tall appliance in a corner that may have something to cool the room but the bell boy didn't say anything about it and I didn't try it. It is convenient to many area attractions. I was only there one night so it was adequate.

The best screaming deal ever. For the equivalent (as of 1/6/24) of $50 USD I got two nights, in a big room with two large beds, decent size bathroom, safe, and free water. Yes it was a bit bare bones: about 8 oz. worth of threadbare towels and no soap dish. But very clean and OK where it counts: comfortable beds with nice thick pillows. Nobody spoke English except the manager, but the staff was exceptionally nice and friendly. The restaurant was basic but the food was good and served very fast. You can get a room with breakfast included but it's small. Really great location, too, near a subway station and kitty corner from the historic San Miguel Arcangel cathedral. If you go, and don't speak Spanish, brush up on your tourist phrases or use Google Translate. My 80 days on Duolingo served me fine. Definitely I would stay here again, five stars.

stayed for about 36 hours in order to catch redeye flight back to US ... good but crowded location w/ mostly locals around (a good thing) ... staff was very helpful whenever I needed anything or had questions

Rentamos 2 recamaras por 2 noches para el año nuevo por medio de expedia. El sitio dice que hay estacionamiento pero aun les mande un correo pata preguntar si nuestro vehiculo cabía ya que era una SUV. Nunca trspondieron y al llegar al hotel, nuestro vehiculo no cupo en el estacionamiento. Tuvimos que pagar $1000 pesos extra en estacionamiento publico y a unas cuantS cuadras del hotel. Las habitaciones aparecian limpias y en general, si lo estaban pero las cobijas "dis que" limpias, tenian un mal olor. Obviamente no dormimos tan agusto. Ordenamos comida la primera noche del restauran que hay y la siguinte mañana dacamos los platos y los dejamos areiba de un basurero... al hacer "check out" 2 dias después, aun seguian los platos donde los pusimos. En general, el costo del hotel no vale lo que pagamos. Y fue muy inconveniente no tener estacionamiento.

Fue terrible, el encargado del hotel junto al botones, se metieron a las 2 am a mi habitación, se pueden imaginar el susto que nos llevamos, pensé que se habían metido a robar, mi compañero del susto se le regó el líquido de la rodilla, fuimos a pagar donde el doctor y el gerente nos dijo que si no estábamos contentos que no podía devolver el dinero cancelado, yo sufrí un ataque de pánico. El gerente que de estudios es cero, nos compensó con un almuerzo de 9 dólares cada uno *ja ja ja*, otra situación en el restaurante no ha terminado uno de almorzar, comer etc y está con la cuchara en la boca y ya están recogiendo platos etc, se lleva uno cada susto, pensando en la intranquilidad de poder disfrutar su comida. Espero nunca más volver a hospedarme en ese Hotel Castropol

La ubicacion es buena, cerca del zocalo, el hotel esta limpio y el restaurante tiene una carta reducida pero con muy buen sazon y precio justo. Las habitaciones amplias y la cama comoda.

This is a good location for me as there are many stores located within a six-block radius. I am a buyer for other stores. My room was largeand the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was laid out conveniently so I had a full shower. The only negative comment was noise coming from a central courtyard where machinery was located. Loud noise could still be heard with windows closed.
