Okay, so my experience here is mixed; I gave 4 stars because my interactions with the staff were great. The lady at reception (for most of my time there) was helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a good area, as far as walkable goes to Centro Histórico, metro lines, other areas. I was happy about this, during the day great, but idk if I recommend walking alone at night.
Now, the room itself was fine, since I was traveling alone, but the bed was VERY uncomfortable, as in super hard, I woke up achy a lot. And the room was on the street side which was busy constantly. Traffic noises were hard to drown out and I couldn’t get great sleep. Somehow though, I ended up having a great trip, which I’m grateful for. 😌😌😌😌
Stayed two nights: Room was clean, staff was welcoming and friendly.
Í definitely recommend and will stay there again.
The only issue is that there is nothing there at night but take an uber and go wherever you want.

I love this Hotel, I can walk to the El Zocalo, Everyone is super friendly
Traffic noise is loud. Very loud. So loud. Sirens, motorcycles, trucks, cars about 20 hours a day.
Bed is hard. Very hard. Lost count how many times I woke up.
Hotel was difficult to find. No outside signage. Building says Voz. I came in through the garage and the door there had a sign. Apple Maps didn’t work well finding the place. Only 1 of the four staff member I saw spoke English, she was nice. The rest…oof.
Let me store my luggage, I am grateful.
Another hotel I stayed at was similar but not so loud, not quite so hard. And they have a wonderful buffet breakfast, only half a block from a metro station, nicer neighborhood and next to a Walmart. However, there are prostitutes outside…..
My second time to stay here! Very clean, very quiet, a convenient location, 10-15 minute walk to the center of the city! I’ll come back again! Very satisfied!
Went to try and watch the world cup inauguration and found this hotel, chose it as it was a short walk to the zocalo, about the place. beds were horrible bouncy springy hard, walked in room smelled like raid had been sprayed before we walked in. There was no central ac, they had a small fan to use, only a couple outlets next to bed so no where to place it properly, mattress was stained under covers. Elevator was super sketchy. Front reception was ok, staff was just onsite to work, was upsold as i added my son last minute and she charged me for him sleeping in the room said Orbitz did not inform them of an additional person. Overall if your looking for a place to sleep minimal but in a centralize location then this is the place everything was walking distance. Also free parking for the rental car we had.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Good: Filtered water was available without charge; staff were polite & professional.
Bad: If you want to leave your luggage at the property, before check-in or after checkout, there is no secure way of doing it because they have absolutely no storage facilities like 99% of other places. So leave your luggage in an open lobby, at your own risk, that is a huge hassle. Also, unlike other places, they will not let you check in before the official check-in time, even if the room is ready & available. The area doesn't seem safe & there isn't much to do in the immediate surroundings. You can walk 20-ish minutes to Zocalo though.
Place is great for budget friendly traveler's coming from California. The place is 10 minutes away from the hampton inn. I've stayed at both and not much difference. Don't be discouraged from the location during the day it looks normal it's just at night looks sketchy. Taxi is easier to get here being it's not so clutter with vehicles. 50 bucks per night is a deal.
My stay was amazing. I especially loved the restaurant next door, and the location was perfect. Close to Centro but still relaxed. I really enjoyed walking the neighborhood and experiencing Mexico City alongside the locals. An unforgettable place to stay.
My Father and I had the most Epic time at La Casona De Los Angeles de San Juan. The owner and the staff made sure we enjoyed every bit of Taxco and recommended all the nice places to visit even some hidden gems. They were very considerate and checked in on us daily to make sure we had everything we need from fresh linen to Warm local Pastries every morning with coffee, to exciting daily plans. Over all I would give this stay 10 stars if I could. We will definitely be coming back very soon. Special thanks to David who’s showed us around local markets and the best spots to visit. This is Far from a Regular hotel experience, booking here is booking a special spot in your heart for Taxco. Highly recommended
Excellent vacation spot! Wonderful staff and morning coffee/treats. Quiet hotel. Great location for exploration of historic sites, museums and transportation. Some excellent restaurants in the area.
