Excellent Stay!!!
The receptionest Mr. Essential was a very hospitable staff who looked after our comfort very well, also the other staff members were good too. Very good environment specially the gardens and the room was attended well and clean, the only thing we would like to suggest to the Owner that the Television should be a bigger one at least in the Deluxe rooms with better DSTV Channels, otherwise the stay was very comfortable.

Good staff especially name RUTH. Very helpful. Even I check out at 4 am. She still prepared me breakfast.

My Husband and I stayed for 1 night as we had a wedding nearby. The room was nice and clean, very comfortable. If I can recommend a better shower head that will be all....

Excellent and Convenience at Midrand Conf Centre
It was extreme;y convenient as I was attending a weekend long event at the Gallagher Convention Centre which is within 3 minutes walking distance

Midrand Conference Centre
I had to request for a bedside lamp, and the one that was put in the room did not work properly. Otherwise our stay was fine, food good and staff were really helpful.

I will never stay there again
There was no hot water, I had three ice cold showers, there was no one to complain to, This venue is not good.

I was initially given a very bad room however upon complaining I was moved to Oxford house and the room was perfect . I appreciated that the manager offered me a better room . However the staff do not clean the rooms properly and management needs to look into this Breakfast was great and thumbs up to Essential and Lucy they were great and thanks for making my stay wonderful

a Charming old lady
This is a grand old lady. A bit run down, but quite charming. I had hand painted walls in the bedroom, a beautiful view from my own verandah, and a huge Cleopatra bath. The site rambles on like a little European village.

Convenient location
Convenient location for exhibiting at (or visiting) events at Gallagher Convention Centre, which is just across the road. I stayed in the newly renovated Oxford House block, in deluxe rooms, which were large and comfortable. Staff were friendly, rooms kept neat and clean. Only downside: I requested an Iron and ironing board, this required a R200 deposit, but the iron was crusty, leaky and decrepit.

Nice hotel, close to Gallagher convention centre
Nice, hotel, the employees are really receptive, and meals also really good. If I could give a advice, I would say I would try to place a chair and a desk at the rooms for people that might need to work using loptops or notebooks from the hotel.

Not great but not bad either
Room was in the Lavender Mews part of the conference centre (apparently there are different buildings for the rooms). The room was fine but was facing the security gate (Gate 3), so I heard the gate traffic in the morning and at night. Location-wise, about a 15 min walk to the nearest shopping center, but there were bus stops nearby. The walk to the Gautrain station is about 20 Minutes (longer if it's blazing hot outside). Limited TV programs but the room fridge was working.

Hôtel dans une zone d'affaires
Joli petit hôtel avec des employés qui offrent un excellent service. Par contre très bruyant, à côté d'un centre des congrès. Ne jamais prendre la chambre Orchid House 36 car elle est à côté de la salle des employés et quand ils rentrent pour travailler le matin vers 6h, ils se moquent si vous dormez ou pas.

Oxford House has no lift and has rooms will minimum furniture. No hotel like feeling there.

We attended a wedding and decided it best to stay over. We informed the hotel that we have a 15 month old baby and will be bringing a camping cot. When we arrived and shown our room it was way too small. No way to fit the cot. We were upgraded to a bigger room but could not enter until it was cleaned. Which was not properly done. We had no hot water on Saturday before the wedding but did not have time to report the issue. Sunday morning we awoke to a broken kettle. Had hot water at least. Packed up, had breakfast and left. I doubt that I will return.

Had the worst stay ....bad experience to be honest 1.Less communication from stuff 2.broken shower 3.was left for 2hours without eletricity 4. Broken aircon

Not the greatest experience
The room was noisy being so close to the bar area and then the hearing the kitchen noise from 5am didn't help. The shower was luke warm in the morning and the toilet positioned so close to the shower and wall made it uncomfortable to use.

Exactly what I was looking for...
It is 3 minutes walk to Gallagher convention centre.... used to host major conferences but have no accommodation facilities...best place to stay if you are attending a conference
