Immediately near the Centrale station - can walk to it even with your bags. Big plus. ALSO - lots of good food inside Centrale so often went there for breakfast. Hotel has breakfast for 10 euro, did not use it personally. Centrale was cheaper and you get what you want. Some other restaurants in the area including immediately next door cafe.
Easy to catch tram or metro from here. Area felt safe enough.
Elevators inside, which is essential. Building seems to have a small street front area and then more space to the back which means that it is quiet. Lovely first level living room/lounge/breakfast area with lots of windows.
Room - walls are kinda thin. Building is old and kind of partially renovated. For example - room had laminate floor and comfortable, newer seeming bed. But then carpet in halls and such are very old and dated. Room was very clean. Had a desk and lot of storage. Shower was a little tight and had a half-wall style so that water went all over the floor. One light in bathroom wasn't working. Not a lot of plugs to accommodate a voltage converter - perhaps because it's an old building.
Overall was a good stay for me and my small dog. Across the street is a grassy area for dog to use. Staff was helpful. It let us arrive and get oriented and get off jetlag. But for the money it could be more modernized and in a bit more working order. If I had to I would not mind staying again, but would want a lower price and might look for others in same area instead.
