We come to Lora every month or six weeks just for dinner and a night out. We love the place - warm welcome, great restaurant and bar, charming town of Stillwater just out the door, great beds. Home is only 20 miles away but we really enjoy the Lora getaway.

While we only live 25 miles away, we love to go to Lora for a night out. The hotel is delightful and within easy walking distance of great restaurants and activities. The staff always recognizes us by name and are very cordial. Walter, the big golden retriever always gives us a warm welcome.

This was a really chic boutique hotel. I loved the exposed brick and wood from the former lumber mill/brewery. The bed was was more comfortable with nicer sheets than the average hotel.The staff were very pleasant and helpful at every interaction.

This has been one of my favorite hotels EVER. I'd rank it top 2, my only regret is I wish I spent 2 nights instead of one. Very quaint and right at the start of Stillwater. You can walk towards the river with the bridge leading you to Wisconsin or walk right down Main Street. Staff were very nice and helpful at the front desk, attached restaurant + bar and even the little coffee shop next door. Plus, the rooms are charming and very clean and spacious. I can't wait to go back to Stillwater and this will be the hotel of choice every single time.

Room was in good condition. However, for an upscale hotel, even if it features a historic setting, I expected the TV to have Netflix, YouTube or Hulu features. But it was cable television only. Also, the hotel does not provide a microwave. During my husband our stay, we got upgraded to the premium king, which had a fireplace but when it was turned off, it made a beeping noise every 5- 10 seconds. Which woke us up five times through the night. The phone or no where in the room, was a direct number to the front desk, which we had to go to the front desk to turn in our keys and hand our valet card. But they were great and fast at retrieving the car for us. Overall, great hotel, staffs were friendly and helpful.
