“The hotel was a bit grittier than I was expecting but it was “cute.” Room was nice, feels like a DTLA loft. Not many amenities but the coffee shop downstairs was nice in the morning. Friendly staff.”

“I love the River Inn on Harbor Island. It reminds me of an older stately hotel like the Omni Grove Park Inn and the Martha Washington Inn. However, it is quite dark and the toilets are short (as in 14-15 inches high. So please take this into consideration. The restaurants here and around the hotel are terrific. But the best part has to be the employees that work there. Very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area. We prefer this to the Peabody which is the only other hotel we have...

“This is a very nice hotel. Most of the staff was friendly. The only problem we had was the lady serving breakfast. She was very rude. The breakfast buffet is 15.00 a person and it’s not worth the money. If we stay again we skip the breakfast. ”

“Easy access to the Memphis downtown and historic places. You can take trolley and bus to the National Civil Rights Museum, Sun Studio. Also there's BikeShare! The Mississippi river is five minutes walk from hotel. Beale street is 15 minutes walk away. ”

“This hotel is not in a great area of Memphis. I would not walk out at night. Many surrounding abandoned buildings. Our room had a handle missing on the bathroom door and hand soap instead of shower gel. No other little amenities like shower cap etc. For the price of the room it was to say the least a disappointment. On check in we were told breakfast was until 11am. I went down 10 min before 10 and was told that breakfast was closed and that it only went until 10. The front desk...

“Stayed with my family. Only thing I noticed was a must probably from the ac unit in the room. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beyond our expectations and the valet and secured parking gave us great peace of mind while staying down town. Trolly wasn't running because of utility work but down town was very walkable and impressively clean.”
