In fact it is obvious that they did not overdevelop this land to keep the local wildlife happy and close by. “I was surprised that the place was quite a hike downhill. I have limited mobility and it was very difficult. It was very loud in proximity to the city which I also did not expect. “When I made the reservation I thought we were at the main lodge and not at the camp. Of course the property is beautiful Accommodations were nice beds very comfortable , staff and was great but having to get up to walk to the bathroom was not fun for me so in the future when I book I will be making sure I’m at the main lodge. I think the camp is great for backpackers and those on a budget. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Maya Bella. It was simple and super easy to get to all our activities. Good food and drinks near by. Pool was great. Air conditioners worked very well. It was nice being able to refill water bottles with their purified water and always being able to make tea. We recommend!”

“Had a two bedroom villa with 3 beds. Very clean and nice with small individual pool. Nice space to come back to after excursions. About a 30 min walk from downtown San Ignacio which wouldn't want to do at night based on having to walk on the street. Can get cabs arranged from hotel.”

“We had an amazing experience staying here. It was close to the shuttle bus, market, restaurants. Having a kitchen made it easier to pack food for next day. Our host was very very helpful! She suggested local restaurant to try and helped us to find a last minute replacement tour early morning as our got cancelled late at night! We were able to leave our luggages there while we went to a half day tour, even after check out time. I highly recommend staying here! ”

“The hotel was pretty modern and new. The double suite was very large and beautiful. It was a pretty quiet, family business and the staff was so nice and accommodating. It felt like staying with family. The food was delicious as well. The area is pretty isolated, but a short cab ride can take you to town for groceries and restaurants. Super refreshing and pretty pool, and the beds were SO comfortable. ”
