"The best thing is it’s just besides train station, just 2 minutes walk so although it’s far from Venice Island but in 30 minutes you can reach Venezia St. Lucia. The property was kept clean, spacious and breakfast was good. The hotel looks like very old and they have some old furnishings which need repair. Overall it needs some refurbishment to look like a modern hotel. They took credit card information as a security guarantee which was strange and faced first time in any hotel in Europe, even Italy but that’s fine as that might have been brought as per their bad experiences with guests in past. There are no good restaurants nearby as it’s bit far from city so need to keep this in mind while booking. Overall ambience at the hotel was good, wouldn’t say excellent but it’s good value for money if you compare with other hotels in Venice."

"Stayed in a 12 bed female dorm. Only had one working bathroom/shower to share between which made shuffling around the bathroom a hassle. Staff was helpful for check in and helping to order food. Easy parking. Did not receive breakfast so cannot comment. Linen and towels felt clean. Lockers easily accessible with key card. Overheard another person staying ask about their bathroom situation in their room and it seemed to be the same thing, so maybe some renovations need to be done to upkeep the bathrooms to keep them running! Overall good stay."

"Close to the train into Venice. About a 25 minute ride and 10 minute walk to/from the station. It was safe and well lit. Very well appointed room with a fantastic balcony. We booked because it was close to the airport and had a shuttle. Be sure to pre book your shuttle from the airport to the hotel. We were there just one night but would come back again. There are some lively eateries adjacent to the property that we would try next time. We highly recommend."

"The Barbarich is a beautiful hotel. The grounds are lovely and the breakfast was incredible. The pool is an outdoor pool, and although it too looked clean and inviting we stayed there end of September and it was too cool to use an outdoor pool that is not heated. The hotel is also in a town that is close to the airport (VCE), but there is nothing around it. We took a half day trip by car to Padua, which was about a 30-35 minute drive with toll. So, hotel and grounds and staff and breakfast, very nice. Restaurant for dinner was good as well and the location is good for an airport run, but another town may be close to the airport as well with more things to do."

As the weather was good I used the opportunity to walk from the hotel into Treviso town centre and it was no less than 20 minutes if that to the bus/train station."

"We loved the hotel. So nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of Venice centre but still very easy to jump on the train and be there in 20 minutes via the hotel shuttle bus. Staff are so friendly and helpful and we had a lovely time there. We borrowed the hotel bikes to ride along the riverside and it was fantastic. The only thing is, and we didn't mind at all, but we planned our days around what time the shuttle bus ran as it only runs at certain times. Not a negative, just a consideration if you didn't want to walk back from the station (less than half an hour walk)."
